Request for ban

I would like to request a ban of My self for a test..I would like to be IP-Banned, not name banned, I think I have found a possible hole in the Ip-Banning system, I have tried this on my local board and it works, I would like to try it here, being the devious board it is ;)

If any of the mods would please do this for me in there spare time I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

We do not ban members on request like this.

As for a "hole" in the IP ban system - IP ban is easy to bypass, if you can spoof your IP address, visit here using a proxy, or a number of other methods to bypass it.

If we are going to ban you, we will ban your account. :)

Nope actually, I had made no alterations to my IP Address, but I had did something with cookie info, and I was able to some how (not sure, still trying to figure it out) post again.

cookie hijacking?

thats a bad thing if it is vulnerable in the software. You might want to research cookie bypassing in your software otherwise you can run the risk of letting users through after the auth process fails.

the ip ban uses cookies, it's piss easy to bypass

Tis why you use a server wide ban on ips...if you want to ban via a ip that is ;).

IMO ip banning is so useless its not wroth using, unless you want to block some proxys of course ;)

Banning particular *free* proxies are good idea. Im currently on a free proxy :-p
