Top 10 Table, for the curious statician
This displays a table of ridiculous statistics that can tempt your members to spam. Beware. It lists the top 10 users by age (i.e., join date), number of posts, posts per day, number of buddies in their buddy list, and the number of referrals.
This script uses five queries in addition to whatever vB uses for login code, templates, etc. |

Ahhh... a non-phpinclude hack from the turtle... ;)
|
Whoever downloaded it, download it again. As always I find bugs ex post release.
Also, [high]* filburt1 smacks Erwin for changing his status again :p[/high] |
That's 6 hacks within 7 days. It seems the turtle has started to hack. :)
Nice hack, fliburt. :) [high]* Link14716 installs. :)[/high] |
[high]BUG![/high] I have 6 buddies on my list and I am on 6 others buddy lists and it only shows 5 next to my name for the number of buddies with this hack. ;)
|
Guh, will fix later...
|
Also, the referrals column on mine only shows me with 8 (I think) and the rest of the lines only have () in them. Your screenshot also shows 2 lines like that in yours. ;)
|
Those are deleted users IIRC.
|
Wow this is awesome. That function you have wrote can be so useful :)

*shrug* Edit the last query. It's right from admin/user.php, though, only modified to have infinite date range.

filburt1,
This is a great hack, congrats. Is it possible to adapt this hack so that it "fits" inside memberlist.php...? I'd like the statistics to be called from the "Members" page just like the others are... Thx for any tips. |
Good stuff Filb, good work.
|
filburt, are you still supporting this hack? The buddy list is still messed up.

Well you could remove the buddy list part until he finds a solution :). |
It shouldn't have to be removed. It should be fixed and working.

Can you tell me what queries I need to run to take whatever out of the db that this hack added then?
|
To be honest I have no idea how that part works. I just got the code from the admin CP referral section which has the same problem with blank users. You might be able to add an IF to the query to ignore empty users.

3. Upload install_top10table.php to your forums' admin directory, then navigate to it with your browser. Log in as an admin, select a style set to which to add the new templates, and click Start Installation. When you see a success message at the bottom of the page, delete the file from the server. I uploaded it but what do you mean by navigate to it with your browser? i went to http://djjeffa.com/vb/admincp/install_top10table.php wich is where the file is and this came up in my browser: You need to upload this file to your forums' admin directory, then run it. but i thought i did lol any help would be appreciated |
This is a VB2 hack and it looks like your trying to install it into a VB3 forum!
Have a look in the vb3 section, I'm sure there is a statistics hack for vb3 as well. |
