hi how do i put a shout box on the main page
 

Im looking to put a shout box or some would call it a Speak up box how would i go about this ?
i have vb 2.3.0
and vbPortal© 3.0b

If you pay to become a premium member at vbportal there is an addon you can d/l to allow you to have a shoutbox on the main page :)

You can install the shoutbox or chatbox in Full Releases as a module in vBPortal as well.

how do i set it up tho ?
i put over 160.00 dollers into vb this is all im looking for

You need to get support for vBPortal at their support site: www.phpportals.com - we don't support it here.

If you want to install a shoutbox for just plain vB, there are 2 hacks here - just follow the instructions.

I've never grasped the modules section of vbportal. I know we don't offer support here but could you explain how to intigrate a hack here as a module?

At vbportal, there is a Shoutbox. I just installed it last night. The one I'm using goes in a Sideblock. Pretty slick, but the only way I found to delete 'bad' shouts is to go into the database through phpmyadmin and physically delete them there. Not much moderating capabilities.

Make a small little php file to delete them not to hard.

I am sure they even have the add on there.... Then I have not looked i just dl the shout box. I have no need to mod it yet.

You can delete the bad shouts, but the only way I've found how is to go through phpmyadmin and delete them from the database. So you can delete them, but it's the only way I know how.

If you find one, please let me know. I think I've made some enemies and I dont want them to be shouting bad things to me.. lol
