Sugar Ray - When It's Over

...is the best song ever. There's no argument so don't even bother formulating a pitiful excuse for one.

[high]* filburt1 is listening to it repeatedly with the volume up [/high]

Boofo 02-27-2003 11:49 PM

Yes, that's a cute song. But it ain't music.

The harmonies aren't bad, to tell you the truth. The wife really likes that song, too. It's just not my taste in music, I guess. But then, nothing since "Led Zeppelin" or "Touch" sounds good to me anymore. (By the way, Touch was a group back in the mid 80's that defined harmony on a song called "Don't you know what love is"...I hope I got that song title right).

[high]* filburt1 shudders at the thought of 80s music except for U2 ;)[/high]

Erwin 02-28-2003 07:12 AM

New Order. :) Great stuff from the 80s.

sabret00the 02-28-2003 07:42 AM

there was some good stuff back in the day :p i liked Soul2Soul but blah, theirs alot of decent stuff around these days, the 70's ruled for soul tho' classics, many many classics, mood music ;)

Boofo 02-28-2003 09:28 AM

Actually, the late 60's and early to mid 70's were the best for music of all kinds. There was "The Who", "The Guess Who", "Cream", "Blind faith", "Derek and the Dominoes" and "The Beatles", just to name a few of the more influential groups. And the 70's were the times for some of the most well known 1-hit-wonders ever. Alot of what is around today comes from that time.

Tony G 02-28-2003 09:29 AM

It was a nice song, but not the best. :p

majin gotenks 02-28-2003 10:03 AM

1800's music all the way!

/me is cool

Tony G 02-28-2003 10:09 AM

The Classical stuff still lives. :p

Xenon 02-28-2003 10:43 AM

Yeah, nothing could beet Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Bach .....

But, i also like the more modern *gg* musik of the 80s

But still my Favorites are Rammstein, Onkelz (Both german Bands) and Nightwish (the voice of Tarja is so beautiful....)

theoneandonly 02-28-2003 09:16 PM

I don't like classic. I like metal  SOaD, baby!

majin gotenks 02-28-2003 11:11 PM

Im surprised that someone that puts down rap so much would trun around and said sugar ray acully had a good song ;). Im more of a metal person myself, i like to headbang until i pass out.

[high]* Brad puts out his J and puts on some pink floyd ;)[/high]

Velocd 03-02-2003 04:40 PM

I don't suppose anybody is into Jpop here.. Maaya Sakamoto, Yoko Kanno, Utada Hikaru, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Do as Infinity..

Or maybe OST music from such animes as Kenshin OVA, Saikano, Rahxephon, FLCL, Ghost in the Shell - SAC, Jin-Roh, and Vandread?

Something very different from the regular Americanized stuff. ;)

Ok, let's see how truthful this statement is. Tell Robert I'd like an autographed picture of him (and Jimmy Page , if possible). I already have one from a long time ago from a concert I was at. I can compare them and see. ;)

Dean C 03-02-2003 05:38 PM

Hehe i've only ever met him once in church. I was with my mom who had invited him along. Let me see what i can do ;)

@Velo: Hmm, i don't know the actual Nippon charts, when i was there a girl called hitomi was on place one.
And i think she deserves it, it sounds good.
All in all i really don't like that americanizised stuff.
