So this is what the new vbulletin.org server feels like

and to think, I had just got a good butt print in the memory of the old one.

LOL!!! I also saw the "We are moving servers sign" a while ago...

I would be interested in the specs too. :) The last move was not too long ago...

Tony G 02-21-2003 11:05 AM

I didn't noice it but I like this new server. :p

Xenon 02-21-2003 02:34 PM

i noticed it for too long ^^

hmm, waiting for specs :)

filburt1 02-21-2003 02:38 PM

It's a 486 in Chen's basement running AOL through a phone line where the power outlet occasionally shoots out sparks. :)

Steve Machol 02-21-2003 03:49 PM

There was no server move. There appears to have been a glitch that closed the forums. Chen is looking into this.

A glitch that closes forums? This doesn't sound good.

[high]* Rose hopes it's not contagious[/high]

bharvey42 02-21-2003 06:18 PM

Doesn't sound good, but on the bright side it seems as if everything is faster on this end.

Dominick 02-21-2003 06:28 PM

*Dominick finds his old spot and nuzzles back in...

Maybe there's a ghost adminning at vb.org???

As long as it isn't any long term scary bugs it's ok. And the server seems faster anyways. :)

Rose 02-21-2003 07:02 PM

Does the server seem faster because everyone thinks there was a server transfer? Or is it actually faster?

Placebo or pill......*hehe*

sabret00the 02-21-2003 07:43 PM

seems about the same to me

Xenon 02-21-2003 10:49 PM

yeah, i don't notice a speed difference anyway...

hmm, wierd, a ghost admining vb.org and it's weather Chen, nor Erwin nor me???

[high]* Xenon is frightened ;)[/high]

Mystic Gohan 02-21-2003 10:55 PM

Thats crazy! Maybe there was a hacking? That could possibly be it. Well view the admin logs and see who did what. Thats all I can suggest.

Yeah I thought it was odd, since vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org are on the same server (I think) and .com was working fine at the moment. :)

Dean C 02-22-2003 11:28 AM

Seems a bit slower for me to be honest... It's probably just my crappy connection though :)

bharvey42 02-23-2003 02:01 AM

It's definatley not slower.. must be your connection.

Erwin 02-23-2003 02:03 AM

Weird... the Ghost in the Machine did it...

Or maybe there is a glitch in the Matrix??? Do I see 2 Xenons???

*eg*
That would mean twice as much time :):):)

Dominick 02-23-2003 11:13 AM

what a sociological test. I didnt intend this, but the varying observations are amazing. Just observe what everone says and how they disagree, but all agree to the common assumed point.

humanity is a beautiful thing. Freedom of thought rocks
