Minimum posts to view Forum [English/German]
 
English:
A few users requestet a hack to limit the access on a forum by userposts. This hack will will give an error to the user if he didn?t had enough posts to view the forum. You can specify the number of minimum posts to view the forum by each forum in the admin-cp.

In the next Version, i build it into the search-enginge.

Es wurde schon ?fter auf vB.org nach einem Hack gefragt, der den Zugang zu einem Forum auf Grund der bereits abgelegten Posts zu begrenzen. Ihr k?nnt diese Einstellung varibale f?r jedes Forum im Admin-CP einstellen.

In der n?chsten Version werde ich diese Funktion auch auf die Suche ausweiten....

amazing man! i run a music production website, and we have a sample forum so all the samples that we have are based in this forum, and its hard to keep track of who takes what, and i hate leechers, i put in alot of work and i hate it when people come along and dont contribute, even a small thank you is all that is needed. this could be just what i needed.

btw, i think there's a minor bug
if a guest click on a thread title in a private forum, he will get the message "You didnt have enough post to view this forum" which i think is not approriate
this is how i fixed it

add:

newreply.php, newthread.php, search.php still need modifying.

Search.php: You can make it so forumjump doesn't display the forum if you can't get in // When searching, you can't search in that forum // Posts in that forum won't be shown in search results // getnew doesn't show posts from that forum // finding all posts by a user, leaves out posts from that forum

newreply.php: through a url, a user can still reply to threads in the forum and use topic review to see other replies in the thread.

newthread.php: users through a url can bypass the system like above, and create new threads in the forum.
