Ok. I have looked ALL over this place, and i cant find it.

I do not want to use Dark_Wizard's Icon hack. I dont like that one.
i want one that will make it look clean like the example i have below. Please tell me where i can get it or how to do it

May I ask what is wrong with Dark_Wizard's hack? It looks just like your example ..

Looks nothing like my example. My example is much cleaner.
heres the two next to each other

Nemesis, all you need to do is modify the template in that hack to get the look you want.

Yeah its that easy, i have try everything possiable to do this. Nothing works for me

Martin64 02-18-2003 08:57 PM

Erm...amykhar is correct, all you need to do is the edit the template. Try putting the icon in one column and the description in another. If you're having troubles, attach the template and I'll help you.

Ok i have installed his hack and i get this

Heres the template i had to mod in forumhome_forumbit_level2_post

open the forumhome_forumbit_level2_post and find this:
PHP Code:

<normalfont><b>$forum[title]</b></normalfont></a

add this before it:
PHP Code:

$ficonimg

So i get this"
PHP Code:

 <tr
        <
td valign="top"><b><a href="forumdisplay.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&forumid=$forum[forumid]">

$ficonimg

<normalfont>$forum[title]</normalfont></a></b></td

And end up with this attacment

amykhar 02-19-2003 12:36 AM

The easiest way to fix it is to put another table inside those td tags. The new table would have 1 row and two columns. Then you would align the contents of each column to either the top or middle - whatever suits you. It's basic HTML.

Come on hook a brotha up :-P im new to this ::looks down sadly::

Dark_Wizard 02-19-2003 01:06 PM

Edit template forumhome_forumbit_level2_post and find this:

Code:

<tr align="center">
        <td bgcolor="{secondaltcolor }" valign="top"><img src="{ imagesfolder }/$forum[onoff].gif" border="0" alt=""></td>

add this after:
Code:

<td>$ficonimg</td>
hope this helps....

I think what he needs is:

rowspan="2"

then the icon will be befor forum name AND description! ;)

Greetings

Star

WELL , actually i searched many times about Dark_Wizard's Icon hack
but i did'nt find it
but i found a hack simillar to this in my Pc AND i dont know who is the auther of it either Dark_Wizard's or an other coder

my question is , Can i found a new version hack for vbulletin 3.0 simillar to
the attached one ????

i can't use Live Wire hack because it request a code every time when i want
to create new forum section !

<img src="images/homeicon/yourforumpic.gif" border="0" />

regards

Logikos 07-24-2004 06:09 PM

if you leave it blank, then it will not ask for a code. I've made sections on my site without icons.

of course i will not leave a blank becuse in this attached hack i just put
the name of the picture like this , 1.jpg , msu.gif or livewire.gif

i dont need to write all code like in your hack
<img src="images/homeicon/yourforumpic.gif" border="0" />
every time !

take in mind that attached hack contains a template should be added to
forum where this template decide what is the name of folder of pic's

i hope you got it !

look , its easy but my bad english and my tring to clear every thing
could make it hard to understand , lol
