Hello,

I am thinging about setting up a vbulletinhosting just for people with vbulletin can host their boards on if they want. It would be cheap good web hosting and the top support you have seen in your life.

Please reply to say if its a good idea or a bad idea.

It's been done and vbulletinhosting.com went out of business after torturing its customers for months.

01-28-2003 10:32 AM

oh did not know what,

but what do you thing new vbulletinhosting,

and I am offering months for web hosting for the first 3 peeps that sign up

Tony G 01-28-2003 11:04 AM

It's not a bad idea, you have alot of competition though so you'll need to be competitive.

01-28-2003 11:41 AM

Just Looking or a good web designer then we can start

Xenon 01-28-2003 04:05 PM

i wish you good luck for that project...

it's a good idea, but it's not easy to administrate a vbhosting company ;)

Dean C 01-28-2003 04:18 PM

Also offering cheap hosting isn't the best option for unestablished hosts :P

I suggest starting out with some advertising at some discussion boards that have to do with Webmasters or host search websites. It'll get you off your feet.

01-28-2003 07:13 PM

Thx m8 i will keep that in mined

N9ne 01-28-2003 07:33 PM

It's easy to say that you will have a great webhost, but doing it requires time and effort, and can takes months.

Dean C 01-28-2003 08:00 PM

Exactly - i'd never invest with a host that has no clients. I always go for well-established hosts.

Xenon 01-28-2003 08:06 PM

well, never forget someone has to do, or no new hosts would get a chance...

01-28-2003 09:05 PM

true i know it will be hard work but i thing i can do it

01-28-2003 09:07 PM

i have been on hosts where the support and hosting is shi*.
so i want to build a good support and web hosting for every one

Erwin 01-28-2003 09:13 PM

Go to vbulletin.com and review the threads in the Hosting forum. You will learn a lot about hosting vB sites there. :)

Steve Machol 01-28-2003 10:05 PM

You'd also have more credibility as a host specializing in hosting vBulletin forums if you were an owner of one yourself. :)

01-28-2003 10:18 PM

i want to do it for the vBulletin people , it should be up and running thurday :)

night m8s off to bed so if i don't reply u know why

Tony G 01-29-2003 04:54 AM

I know alot which are favourites among vB users but aren't specifically for vB forums.

You let me know when you get ready to go and I will sign up with you. ;)

Dean C 01-30-2003 06:14 PM

Just curious... why .co.uk and not .com :)?

- miSt

01-30-2003 06:33 PM

because .com has been taken

and servers are in uk so that why i got .co.uk

when .com is Available again i will ttake it

theoneandonly 01-30-2003 07:07 PM

Eh, heres what I suggest. Let ppl host it for free, but put on TONS of pop ups. You'll make mo' money

01-30-2003 08:08 PM

nope sorry m8 people hate pop ups

well i do

Link14716 01-31-2003 01:34 AM

pop-ups are seriously annoying and most people have gotten pop-up killers. I even hate the banner ads to be honest with you....

Tony G 01-31-2003 08:55 AM

Yes, people won't come to your site if it's pop-up infested.

Okay, since this is becoming a promotion for your services, I will now close this thread, at least until you become a licensed vB owner, rather than give out free advertising here. :) Good luck!
