Kids -- We're taking over the vB world.

Look at it this way, hellsatan 17, me, 15, mist, 14/15? Assassingod 14, we're regular posters, and happy vB users.

A lot of hackers are vB users.

A lot of licensed vB users are kids, between 12 - 18.

SaintDog is a teenager, vBT ;)

What do you think, are us kids going to take over the vBulletin world? :D

assassingod 12-14-2002 10:55 AM

Technically, I am 13:) 14 next month.

But yeah, I see more and more younger people using vB nowadays:)

I like the older hackers though, more knowledge in PHP:D

nuno 12-14-2002 11:16 AM

This is an interesting threads for devs to read

N9ne 12-14-2002 11:32 AM

John could be 10 years old, we just don't know

Dean C 12-14-2002 11:33 AM

Lmfao im 17 N9ne

Dean C 12-14-2002 11:35 AM

SaingDog isn't a teenager lol

assassingod 12-14-2002 11:44 AM

According to n9ne, John is 125:p
Saintdog is 18 miSt, so he is just about finished being a teenager.

N9ne 12-14-2002 11:52 AM

NineTEEN is a teenager, so he hasn't finished being a teenager...

and Mist, I always thought you were a kid :p

Dean C 12-14-2002 12:13 PM

flup 12-14-2002 05:13 PM

LoL

assassingod 12-14-2002 05:35 PM

I imagined most of the vB devs to be around 30+

Boofo 12-14-2002 05:50 PM

I got you all beat (and I'm a fairly regular poster). How about "older than dirt"? And remember, us 'senior citizens' are the ones who started it all so you could have all that you have now. :)

Dean C 12-14-2002 05:56 PM

Lol PPN is the youngest dev i believe

Xenon 12-14-2002 08:52 PM

hmm, 22 :)

moderate, no kid but also no grandpa ;)

Velocd 12-14-2002 09:00 PM

I'm four months 17, and regularly involved with PHP/mySQL & web design, doing most of my work extensively in Textpad and Adobe Photoshop for visuals. Currently I'm also experimenting with Oracle and ASP.net on my localhost.

Although my knowledge in programming may not be comparable to other great developers around here, I expect at the rate I'm learning over the next few years I'll be quite leveled (mostly with Computer Science courses into College).

I haven't released a hack around here in sometime, but the reason mainly behind that is nothing has struck my interest in the request forum, and I've been dead on ideas for sometime (with vB3 on the horizon). I'm still looking for some innovative idea in the request forum though ;)

Erwin 12-15-2002 12:39 AM

<--- 29 (not looking forward to the big THREE-O)

Boofo 12-15-2002 01:02 AM

Xenon, I heard that! ;)

Erwin, you're still just a pup. :) I wish I could remember the big "3-0".

ManagerJosh 12-15-2002 08:50 AM

Glad to see i'm not the youngest vBulletin owner.

Though am I the youngest vB owner that earned money to pay for his own vBulletin? Meaning no money from parents.

<----17 (18 in June....happened to buy vBulletin on my 17th birthday)

freeshares1 12-15-2002 09:08 AM

N9ne 12-15-2002 11:38 AM

Boofo, you're making it out like you're 175 years old or something, you can't be that old!

Drk is about 17 in physical age;):p We wont mention the Mental age;):p

Boofo isnt that old...I'd say he is in his mid 30s...

I also earned the money to pay for my vBulletin and hosting...The fact that I got my parents to pay for it, and kept the money, is just an acknowledgement that I am a pure genius!;):p:D

Satan

My age in the profile on here is wrong. Chen must not have redid the birthday code after he upgraded to 2.2.8. I AM that old, trust me. :) I wish I could rememeber my 30's.

N9ne 12-15-2002 06:09 PM

Steve Smachol is 45 I believe, (so are my parents), that isn't old...I take it you're in your 40s - 50s?

Boofo 12-15-2002 06:12 PM

Let's just say that I am older than Steve but younger than God. ;)
