Auto thumbnailing of images
I would like for someone to come up with auto thumnal for the [img] tag. As of right now my attachment shows as the attachment included. A member can then click it for a larger pic.
Couple of things first when someone attaches say a smilie it enlarges it to the thumbnail size how can I get the smaller images to stay the orginal size? Also what do I need to change for the img tag to show as a thumbnail as well? Any help is many thanks http://webpages.charter.net/judes/ssattachment.jpg Larry |

Because this is requested so incredibly often I may look into it. I'm not sure if it'll be free though because it could be a bit of work, probably $10 at the most though.

i might be willing to pay!
|
Well I have it working except for the infamous GIF images. Will keep you (and everybody, I suppose) posted in this thread.

Done at listed on my page. Sorry it couldn't be free but it was reasonably complex to plan and write.
|

ahh... well do u have a test thread? :\
edit: and what happens if it doesnt work on my forums.. do i get my money back? |
I mentioned the requirements; if you bought it, it's yours.
I don't have a test thread because I just wrote the hack, but it looks just like you have View Images on, only none of the images exceed (by default) 400 x 300. This should be taken to PMs BTW because vB.org isn't a place to discuss paid hacks. |
Filburt I can pay ASAP.
Now with the auto thumbnails will it make imges smaller then the thumbnail appear bigger? LMK ANd thanks Larry |
If (by default) an image is smaller than 400 x 300, the image will remain the same. If it is above that, it will be scaled (preserving the aspect ratio) to 400 x 300 maximum.
If it's a GIF image, there's no easy way to get the image dimensions (getimagesize() requires a file) so it will display the GIF image regardless of the dimensions. |
I am working on an auto thumbnail generator for rip-productions.net and its as good as finnished, when finnished I'll release it on vbulletin.org
