Looks nice. I like the color scheme.

Only problem I see is that it's nowhere near close to fitting at 800x600 with no horizontal scrolling.

Laugh all you want but some AOL Windows 98 Compaq user out there still has their 14" monitor and can only display so much ;)

no point in desiging a site for 2 users, these days only a hand full uses 800* and below, .. your site looks fine as is..

Jadelit 12-03-2002 12:46 AM

Sebastion, I have to disagree with you, most people have 800x600 resolution because it's easy on the eyes with the large text. When I design, I take the screen resoultion very seriously, because if it doen't fit, no one will come to it again.

As for the the forum cyr0n, try looking into "Liquid Design". Search google, and it's very preferred in the design community.

Overall, nice colors, header needs major work, other than that it looks great.

7/10

true about the resolution part, i always design my sites/forums from 800by600 till like euh i dunno it always stretched or otherwise its a fixed size! But yeah if the visitor doesn't like the page cause he/she needs to scroll horizontal, it basicly just sucks.

Michael2 12-08-2002 10:27 AM

Damn, that is nice! Only thing I don't care for is the footer, seems a bit plain considering how nice the rest of the site is. Good work!

I recently did a survey on my forums asking which resolution people use as I was re-designing my main page.

5% 640x480
45% 800x600
35% 1024x768
10% 1280x1024
5% 1600x1200

this was very surprising to me as my forums are for online gamers.

PAINTBALLM 10-28-2003 08:20 PM

thats why id make the site work in anything 800x600 or higher. My site works at 800x600, and every resolution above that

!!!cyr0n_k0r 11-15-2003 05:42 PM

yes well, MY percentage of 800x600 users is only 18%, everyone else uses higher. So really I would be doing a lot of extra work to cater to just a few users.

PAINTBALLM 11-15-2003 06:08 PM

actually, it wouldn't be that much work.

PAINTBALLM 11-15-2003 06:12 PM

also, keep in mind 16% of your users is almost 1/5th of your member count who has to scroll....
