Global Login Point
Hack: Global Login Point
By: Anime-loo Description: This hack will add a new page to your forums (login.php). This page will allow users to login to their acounts without having to be on index.php Why install this? One thing i noticed about vbulletin compared to most other forum script out there is the fact that it has no login page i could direct my members to. With this installed i can add a login link to my header allowing my members a easy way to login :) This is my frist real script, i know its very very simple but i am new to php, i hope it helps you out as much as its helped me, screenshots in the next two post. |
If user logged out they are show the login page:
|
After user logs in they are shown this page. Or if user gose to login.php and is already logged in they are also shown this page.
|
Hey, not a bad hack. I'll probably install :)
|
This is cool. I use a hack that gives different links to registered and un-registered users, this will go well with it, thanks. :)
|

I didn't even know you could do this with windows XP :)
How wonderful Thanks for the tip Rolodex - miSt |
question: sould i expand this and add the code to make the login button only be displayed when a user is logged out, and once loggedin they would see the logout button ?
|
Installed with a little cusotmisation; thanks. :)
|
I could REALLY use a modified one that only shows the login button if you're not logged in, it would save me some major headaches :).
I got an influx of users today from a public forum that went down, and the login page would definitely be advantageous for me :). |
Very nice hack.
I'm having some problems... probably having to do with the default style I have at my boards. When a user is already logged in, everything seems fine : look at the attachment : |
But the problem arises when a user is not logged in, so he gets this page :
Look the attachment : I think I need to change some things at the loo_login template to resolve this... but I can't find what I should modify :( |
are you not able to make the area around the log-in box transparent?
