Hosting problems
 

Hello I run www.impulseownersgroup.com my forums can be found at www.impulseownersgroup/vb user name for test account: testaccount password:test any way we have 4,143 have over 3.9 million hits a month and use over 30 gig of bandwidth. My problem is the bandwidth issue. I know the site just keeps growing and expanding. How much do you guys use? WHo does your hosting? I need a reasonable plan because I do not make any money from my site. Thanks in advance

I use racknine.com - cheap reliable hosting. I have a dedicated server with them, but their shared server plans are good too.

Try them out. If you do go with them, tell Matt, the CEO, that I sent you. He knows me personally. :) mmeier@racknine.com He's very contactable, and will chat with you on MSN if needed.

I'm with Rackshack.net, dediacted server. Prices/plans are excellent.

To be honest I do not care if you actually I hope you do get a commision. Now the biggie how hard is it to switch from one server to another?

I know a couple of people that use Racknine, they're pretty good. They respond pretty quickly in the support forum (which they're about to convert to a vB), and from what I've seen, have much better support than other webhosts. I've seen several occasions where Matt will actually help some one with coding a script or page.

Fast response to first email. Within 3 min. Awaiting a reply from them now. One thing that worried me was I could find no phone number

Yes, we are switching to vB soon. Biggest issue was integrating our existing client/session system into vB which took a couple hours worth of work and looks really nice now. If you guys have any good ideas for vB hacks a Community host would use let me know!

Im looking at racknine for a dedcated server, but for now my site dosent need such a server :).

Right now im in the process of transfering my vbulletin to Viperhost. They have very fast shared hosting for a good price. Im on the r2 reseller plan myself.
