Paycheck Hack for Lesane's Store!
 

In response to a request, here you go. Pretty simple. Took about 30 minutes. A few people said they'd enjoy having this, so here you go.

What it does:

Gives a specified amount of store points to all Mods, Mega-Mods, and Admins. Accessable through the admin control panel.

Requirements:

Lesane's store hack
Created in vbulletin 2.2.8. No reason that I can see for it not to be backwards compatible. Support only available for 2.2.8.

What you need to do:

Download the zip and follow the instructions in the readme. :)

Planned updates:
Eventually going to make it so you can pick which usergroup you want to pay, and maybe even send a PM to them saying "You've just received your paycheck for the week of.." etc.

Can you all think of anything else that needs to be added to it? I'm planning on trying to make it so it can pay the specific usergroups different amounts. I'm also thinking of having it so the script sends a PM to the moderator/admin as it pays them telling them that they've been paid. What do you all think?

I'd say they're both good ideas. I take it automatically send them the points? Or do you have to manually do it?

If not I'd say make a modifacation so that it automatically sends them the points.

Doing it automatically is possible, sure. As of now you have to do it manually. It could come down to just hitting a tick box saying "Do this automatically on this date" or whatever.

Thanks. I intend on working on the hack right now to try and get some of the new stuff put in. If you all have any new ideas just post them up and I'll try to see what I can do.

I will install this when the next version comes out for it to send money automaticly and also send PM

My mods asked for this so thanks. just manually is not fun because anyone can do it manually without no hack

I've updated the hack to include the PM and individual usergroup features. Automatic sending will take a bit more to get going. I should have it done by the end of the weekend.

d00d i did it i sent all my admins/mods/suoermods 10000 and it never updated in the money :(

Great hack just adding on a modification to allow it to select send paycheck every monday, every month, etc would be good :)

how about sending someone a check when it's their birthday? Also make is so you can only get one check per year.

You could do so much with this. Incorporate an entire economy paying each class of user a different amount. Have them get a paycheck on the 15th and 30th of each month. Since it requires the store hack you could incorporate birthday cards where users can send their own credits, you could also have the board send them a card with credits just for being a member, cards being in the form of a pm of course. You could also do this on holidays and other special occassions.

*edit - Oh yea I forgot to say you could tax them each year too, if the users don't have enough credits you could have the board send them an actual email asking them to check out the board since they haven't used it in awhile. Oh yea and only pay people if they've visited.

What about adding to it the ability to pay additional groups. Instead of having it list just the groups that are hard coded, how about scanning for what groups are on the system and creating the list from that.

Also, how about adding a small option to pay just an idividual user also.

How about a pull down list of PM's to be sent and choose from that as well as maybe a custom what that can be typed in at the time.

Making the PM look like a real paycheck would be nice.

An Admin feature to pay only those users that have logged in within the last xx days

Calculate birthdays this month and pay them (insert amount here)

Make it automatic if the Admin wants this active

How about anual bonuses.

I know some of these ideas have been suggested already, but I do not know if this hack is still being supported.
