vB.org has more members than vB.com!
It was bound to happen some time, but so soon?! I can imagine in a few years, this site will have a good 5000 members more than vB.com....I don't know why, maybe people don't find bugs in the software so they don't go to vb.com, but want more features, so come here? Heh, I dunno, but it's a great milestone, beating the main site in amount of members!

Wierd, mainly many members here do not have liscenses, and have there friends add there names, and have warez boards, uh huh thats it :p
Or else ppl here would be at vb.com, its supposed to be natural, they buy there liscense there, they get support there, they download the script there, but there are more members here hmm wierd eh? But many are contracted to do work, but they should be removed off the list after there work is done. -Arunan |
don't be so negative arunan ;)
It's nice to see we baet vb.com :) |
One thing to keep in mind is that all the original vb.com members were ported over here when vb.org was started. Many of these people have never visited or posted here.
This is not to say the vb.org isn't a great place. It definitely is! :) |
Im not being negative :'( Just saying...
|
Lol...
I never knew that;) Satan |
vB.org 0 posters = 15307
vB.com 0 posters = 9405  |
It would be interesting to know the percentage of registered users here and at vB.com that are licenced compared with those that arn't.
Good to see vB.org is getting ahead :D |
vB.org Liscenced posters = 45.7%
vB.com Liscenced posters = 87.4% :D Satan |
Cool!

That's because vb.org is waaayyy more helpful. And you get a response to your problem/question/request almost immediately. I only frequent vb.com when I'm bored. ;)

I think design might make a difference as well, since Vbulletin.com has such a dull appearance (obviously though, since it's running on the default board for an example to clients). Maybe if vBulletin.com equiped themself with more than one style?
I wouldn't mind seeing vBulletin.org with a new style, possibly one custom made by Corey and his great talent? Or just buy one of those nifty styles at vBforumskins.com, although that wouldn't be original. |
I could always make one for vb.org :)
hehe, though I doubt they will take it :'( -Arunan |

My name is Corey, I didn't know I was doing a style for vb3:p - Removed on request Edit: J/k by the way :) |

Also, vB.org is less formal, and since it's an unofficial vB site, people feel more comfortable here. |

if you search for some very old thread, you can see a lot of guest accounts, so they haven't copied just the userDB. also i remember i have clicked register before i was enable to post/edit profile and so on, but i was registred at vb.com before ;) And the point of 0 Posters: yes here are more, because on vb.com why register when you don't post? here you have to register to get the hacks ;) @Arunan: Nice to hear, i'm sure chen will be glad when he reads ;) |
I didn't have to register here and I know that many (if not all) of the member database was ported over to vb.org when it started up. FireFly would know more about this however.
|
hmm, intresting, because you have a higher userid than me...
perhaps they copied parts of the member db after some of us have registred.... i just know they've copied the threads/post over here, and the guest accounts show that there are also missing users :) *calling* Hey chen, can you please answer our questions, great, omnipresent man ;) |
imo, 20% of new members are pirates that try to grab hacks. when they see they cant, they simply abandon the site and try to pm or email other users here to obtain the hacks.
damn bastards. |
