would anyone who downloads please click the install button so i can see whether I should bother to make an advanced chat room with admin options enabling you kick, warn and mute ppl as well as create Chat Moderators with kicking powers and chatters can choose there text colour and add emoticons...
Cheers, terry123 |
please note for this to work your server needs to support ASP pages....
:-) |
Hmm..... you are using ASP for this !!!!! Thats bad ASP is slow G.
|
well its fast on my server........I just click on the link and bang there it is open and ready to go on my screen :-)
|
While that may be true we are mainly a PHP oriented here. But from me formerly being a ASP guru the code it over all nice for what it does.
|
thanks for this i'll try & install it now.
|
Too bad it's ASP only. I don't like IIS, so i'm using Apache, on both my localhost and my site...
Nice work tho. |
It looks very good. I don't have asp though.
Any chance you could do a php version? Unfortunately i don't have access to asp on my server. Craig |
currently working on version 2...which I hope I might just be able to convert into PHP.....screenshot to follow.....
tell me what you think....... |
here it is ..v2 ADVANCE
|
I would use this in a heartbeat if it were PHP and integrated with vB...so logged-in users would simply be dumped into the chat room with their user name from the BBS.
|
am working on intergrating the V2 Advance.....into the VBulletin pages.......Only problem is am not as advanced at PHP as I am with ASP so it make take a while.........but if you register at my website I have a working version of my latest chat v1.3......
|
Erm, ASP? So it isn't a hack at all - it's a seperate script? It doesn't look like it's template integrated either.
|
thats because it isn't
|
So it isn't a hack at all.
|
thats what i just said
|
No, you said it wasn't template integrated, at least you would have, if you'd written that last comment with the slightest perception of grammar. If it isn't a hack, why is it in a hack releases forum?
|
v2 looks cool, hope you can use php! ;)
|
PHP = Pretty Crap Language, ASP = Lot Better......... A Hack can indicate anything. A Hack doesn't have to mean that it uses templates or needs to be in VBulletin............ Read Up On the Term 'Hack' before you comment on what the term means...........
:D |

There you go......Usually, not always..Point Proven |
Hey -- That thing does look cool...
any info on new versions, or if it is going to run on php ?? |
Seems like you were on a roll until the arguement.
Was a PHP version ever released? Is there a recommended hack to add chat capability to my vb? Thanks for any tips, and I hope to hear you got it working and integratable. =) |
I run FreeBSD UNIX, Apache 1.3.27 PHP4 and MySQL 3.23.52.
PHP Chat would be much easier for me to run. I'd have to install too many extra modules to get asp to work. I guess you are running on a Win Server of some sort. :knockedout: |
nope am running mine on a Linux Server (red hat 7.2)...W/ PLESK 5. And the one I am working on is PHP based :)
