ER hack
 

Ever Get in a fight with your co-admin? Everlose your adminship because of it?
Do you have a co-admin? If you do you could be at risk of loseing your adminship.
Be Prepared with this Hack!!!

Anyways this hack will make it so you can get your adminship back by useing the getadmin.php file without it exsisting on the server :P

It simiply is a file contained getadmin.php that requires a secrect code to access it. But you must make sure that the code is kept secret and prefably something long and random.

Umm, It *WAS* Installed, so I'll click install...But I just uninstalled it, since I no longer have use for it...Good hack, i'm sure they'll install this one by the droves...Works w/o a hitch, tested on Game Quest vB v.2.2.6

Heh.. thats like violation of security if its the co-admin.

ehh, some admins are all set to equal, ,like two admins that have same power and charge. And if one gets mad he could alway delete the other persons user. Which would make him lose his adminship. With this he could create a new account and restore his adminship. In the same way if your a primary admin, and you don't trust your co admin, you can have a safy net, without haveing to risk putting the getadmin.php file in the admin dir.

(we all know the first target someone tries when trying to hack a board is getadmin.php :P)

this also in a way passwords up the file. So only you know how to get to it or if it even exsists.

if you dont trust a co-admin you souldent admin them at all or de admin them on the spot, however this is good, like you said a safety net or sorts, ive installed it but its not in my member.php file :p

Caution: What if one of your co-admins or a hacker installs this hack into your site without you knowing? Then this hack can backfire and even after you delete the co-admin or the hacker's account, he or she can use this hack to gain admin access again. :) Just a thought.

Well if you're the owner of the vB then you could take their name off the list if you don't trust them. I don't see why anyone would make someone admin in the first place if they didn't trust them.

rule # 1:
never give out your ftp to anyone ;)

rule #2:
just give out access to controlpanel to persons you really trust!

heh, you guys make vaild points, but what about the people who run a boad together as friends. Both have ftp access, both are admins of equal quality. Good friends. But we all know even good friends fight. I made this hack because i saw a fight coming. And i was right, and i even use this hack for the purpose it was written for. After i used my admin status to make my point i then left the board. I run my own board and help with too many other boards to be immature about things like that.

I hope you guys never get in a situation where you will have to use this hack, however, if you are I hope it serves you well.

I have a suggestion...

You could use it in conjunction with my Lesser Admin CP hack...That way ensuring that if you have co-admins, they still have Admin power, but they dont have the chance to get rid of you;)

if you get errors submitting just run the url of

http://www.yourboard.com/forums/memb...rname=username

change the pass to your keyword and the last username to the username to admin

it will do it automaticaly :]

Just upload getadmin.php for the extras folder and rename it something else. Or atleast I think the will work. :nervous:

hmm nice hack... I trust my co-admins though :P

What if your account is Deleted?

Then re-register. If you were banned have a member of the board use the hack and then you cxan get unbanned de-admin co-admin and all is well ;)
