PM upon Thread Deletion...
 

As requested to me by FFMania...

What does this hack do?
// ++++++++++++++++++++
Simply Private Messages a user when their thread is deleted
* Option only shows when the post is the first post in the thread
* Customizeable Template Messages
* Private Message from the person who deletes the thread.
* Disables private message inform when the thread creator deletes their thread.

What to do?

Instructions in the pm_uponthreaddel.php... just open in a text editor...

Edit :: Errm...something's not right...is it only working when you EDIT THREAD? Cause when I try to delete the thread...using the "Delete Thread/Post" option...I never receive the PM....so...explain plz gforce XD

i don't receive pm !!

empreur76 you can't recieve one from yourself... so you have to have someone else delete your thread... why would you need to be informed about you deleting your own thread?

Also check the quick fix on post#6 regards...

nice hack.. but i really would need a pm info to users i move their threads.. so they just know.. that they posted wrong and their thread is now loactaed at forumxx .. cause the team moved it from xx .. should be able to change it to this funtionality?

how do u make it so that there is no check box to check if u want to send them a pm. How about just when a thread is deleted they get pmed no matter what because a lot of people on my board use the quick delete button in the postbits. Can please help me out. Thanks.

i also want to do that i have just got the hack but i'll look into overriding the checkbox for everyone cause we keep having posts go missing and members ask us where are my threads

i know this thread has not been posted to for almost a year, but recently i tried to install this hack, but do not see a checkbox or receive a pm after i deleted the user.

Anyone have any ideas
