What This Does:

This gives you the option to house download forums similar to how chen has done it here. You will notice some different features.

If you install this please click the install button so you can receive all future updates that i make to this hack.

Heres a demo so you can all test it out.

All the download options are cp controled you can turn them on and off on a per forum basis.

Please feel free to give me addon ideas im still looking to expand this hack some more before i see about releasing it.

It's always helpful when people post hacks without giving a clear description on what they actually do. :)

This is used for housing downloads kinda like firefly did here but with a few different features.

Just two things I've noticed...

In the third SQL query I had to run each by itself as all in the one line they didn't work in phpmyadmin for me...

Secondly, I have noticed a problem with the templates in a download forum, at the base of the thread display on forumdisplay.php the bottom of the table is one table cell short.

Oh, (I forgot to say) other than that I'm REALLY pleased. :D

Opps i forgot the calspan down there i will fix it as soon as i get a chance to. Right now im totaly redoing my sites layout and stuff.

I'd still like to see a screenshot of what this really does.

It makes a forum a 'download' forum, giving you 'post download' instead of 'post new thread' etc. Also has version number and download type in the forumdisplay.

Pretty useful if you hold game patches & addons like my site.

is it possible to make it only registerd user can download ONLY?

Is there any way you could configure this so that the attachments are not stored within the database? Adding MP3's to my database would make it impossible for me to back up on 56k.

Use ppns attachments as files hack.

Installed PPN's attachment hack, and then installed this. Works great with 2.2.7, a great addition to my vBulletin. Thanks for the hard work! :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Just a minor error in your install instructions, it says to edit the "forumdisplaybits" template, it's actually the "forumdisplaybit" template.

You also need to change the second colspan in the "forumdisplay_threadslist" template from 8 to 9.

can you tell us what we need to put instead of what he has?

is it possible to have a image colume ? like in the forumdiaply.php it will display a little image
