www.vb.org

Most of us refer to this site as vb.org (it's even in the logo)...

If you actually go to that URL:

http://www.vb.org/

It's a church website. :) Imagine how many hits that church site gets because of people looking for this site. LOL!

Mark Hewitt 09-06-2002 05:33 AM

They don't even have a forum! :p:

Admin 09-06-2002 10:18 AM

I sent them more than one email about buying the domain name, got no response. And IIRC it will be a while until the domain expires.

A 2 letter dot org... would be worth some money, but not as much as a dot com. It would be great to have. :)

Chris M 09-06-2002 03:48 PM

Hehe...

*Goes out to buy vB.com*

:D

Heh I remember when someone at vbulletin.com posted ages ago, they put "has vb.org been hacked?!" and everyone was soooo shocked that they clicked the link in the guy's post [which was to vb.org] and everyone was shocked to see it had been replaced by a church's website :o until someone finally noticed it was vb.org and not vbulletin.org :D :D

Dean C 09-06-2002 05:06 PM

Chris M 09-06-2002 08:18 PM

ROTFLMAO!!!

It's the logo - it says "vB.org"...

eXtremeTim 09-07-2002 11:19 AM

Hopefully Chen can get that name sooner or latter.

DrkFusion 09-07-2002 12:33 PM

Maybe offering to get them a new domain, and give thanks, or something.

beh...when I talk to people about vbulletin.org i call it vb.org and they come up to me asking me why its a church site

Admin 09-07-2002 12:38 PM

That's what I purposed, DrkFusion, to buy them a new domain AND pay for the one they have.

N9ne 09-07-2002 05:09 PM

Offer to buy them vbcurch.com or something :D

Edit: uhh wait does vB have a church :D

Chris M 09-07-2002 05:53 PM

why dont you run a competition of some sort to win a free vb, it costs say $1 to enter (which is nothing) and its picked randomnly, then any extra money you can't put forward to trying to buy the domain name? you might be left $1000, not many church's will turn that down!

DrkFusion 09-08-2002 05:54 PM

Err people sell domains that others want for 10 000 or 50 000 lol...if chen shows them that he erally wants it they will mostlikly try to intimidate him.

FleaBag 09-08-2002 09:59 PM

vB.org won't be sold, a Church has no reason to sell it, and is bound by morality not to make excess profit from it. So it's staying put for now, at least until Christianity dies out... Can't see that happening any time soon. ;)

Sweet Cheeks 09-10-2002 03:34 AM

LMAO! Too funny

Admin 09-10-2002 10:57 AM

Julie, can you please remove the image from your signature? You're not allowed to have images AND text together, and besides, it's not very appropriate for this site. :)

LMAO. :P

Anyway, you probably won't get much of a response from anyone there. The site was probably just put up and is never going to be updated or changed and email will probably go unanswered.

Watch you get a response from them today though after saying that. :P
