Moderator Drop Down (Revised) v2
Moderator Drop Down (Revised) v2
Coded: VBULLETIN 2.XX ABOUT This is a simple modification that adds your moderators in a scrollable menu on index.php and forumdisplay.php. There is no files that need to be edited (only templates). This is a redesigned version of the previous mod drop down by me, this will eliminate the Java script in header and will eliminate the onchange selected index error. This also adds the right link to your TEAM icon. WHY IS THIS BETTER THEN THE OTHER VERSION? This will eliminate tons of previous problems, One problem that people were having was that every time they selected something in their forms it would jump without being instructed. The other problem was it wasn't designed for sub forums or forumdisplay. Now it is. Screenshots Index forumdisplay Download: |
"There is no files that need to be edited (only templates)."
Then it's not a hack, it's a template modification. |

Great, Then A Moderator can move it to the right area. Thanks.
|
That old's new?
btw i have already old moddrop script. |
I think he's saying that there are no code modifications IF YOU HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED THE MOD DROPDOWN HACK. :)
|
No, there are no files to be edited period.
Guess he didn't read the attachment :D |
Nice one. I will have to install this :D
|
if you are using the older version then just replace the old code with this new code and remove the script you once had in your header called kaotixVIBE. This script is a lot better then the older one I used. pluse it fixes your subforums and your "moderated by" area.
|
Well I am not gong to argue if its a mod/hack or a template mod or voodoo. I love it as it really helps clean up the look of the board.
|
Thanks!
I didn't know it was not the right forum, it doesn't matter to me where you put it, but I'm sure the 1950 people who downloaded this version and the previous version would find it more useful here. That's just me. |
You have a problem in your code, the filename for the forumhome code image is team.gif, but the forum display image is called vb_team.gif (and the file is called vb_team.gif) do the forum home code needs to be edited to reflect this :)
|
fyi... typo for the image in this part of the install file... for forumhome_forumbit_level2_post.
need to add the red text. Quote:

excellent work indeed ... * installs * thank you |
I put this in.... I love it.
Just one problem. I am new to changing templates and stuff. Where can I change the background colors to the drop box, font sizes and colors? I have been changing them, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Thanks, Glen |
Thanks!

I have 2.2.8 does it work there also?
ok i think i understand the instruction but what folder do i upload the image too? FTP something? |
je viens d'installer ce hack sous la monture 228 et ca marche tres bien.
|
what the ++++ are you talking about?
|
FTP the vb_team.gif (i renamed it to team.gif) to you main images folder in your forums root.
should work.. THank for the great template mod.. love it and works great.. |
This Template mod appears to work in version 2.2.8
Just wanted to make a note of that. :) Quote:
I just installed this hack with version 228 and it works very well. (Apologies if I munged the translation: Ma francais, il n'est bon pas) :) |
the only hack that has ever worked for me, was the welcome panel. All others just wont work, the online.php, and now this one. All it did was take out the links to the moderators names. Now i put back the original files, and the links wont work anymore. What's going on?

Really good
|
Ok, it sorta works for me...
But I want it to work on the FRONT index, it doesn't :( Also, it resizes my entire forum when you click on a thread and it makes it look real bad... ??? |

I think you've forgot to edit a template (goto admin CP and look if al the "to edit" templates are colored blue) if you forget one of them, edit is, maybe it works then.
If it isn't that, just download the files en look if you edited everything *so search again and replace/put before/after everything again* If it isn't working: Have you backed-up your files? Just restore them and restore the templates. Now try again. |
Whats up, i got it within a forum but on the main page the dropdown doesnt show, anybody have any ideas
Peace |
Look my post above yours
