OSCommerce vBulletin Integration
I think a hack that integrates the OSCommerce project would be very awesome.
OSCommerce is an open source project so I don't see why it would be that hard. I am going to experiment with using the same user database and see what I find. Has anyone tried any integration? |

damn, i really, really need this one too. I have more than 15000 members, i cant ask them to register all over again just to use the shopping cart :disappointed: |
Did anything ever come of this?
|
I might work on such an integration however I believe it would not be wise to develop this project while vb 3 is so close.
After its release the project would need a complete revise so I guess we should all wait for vb 3 for major projects like this one. |
Well after thinking about it, I'm wondering if I really want all of the users accounts from vB in OSCommerce??
I think there might be some benefits to having two seperate systems. Hmm, just don't know yet. |
I persoanly thinks it is a good idea that they could be used over each others...
But`s that`s me.... LOL Cheers, Ice Man_00 |
no-one thinking of developing this at all?? i could really do with something like this.. :)
|
I really wish the vBulletin and osCommerce and other PHP applications would move toward using LDAP as thier authentication. Then we could easily intergrate all of these apps together.
|
I think this needs to be done, pretty please with a cherry on top, can we have it?
|
sounds interesting.
I had a play around and got as far as compiling a little include for displaying OS commerce "what's new" box on the forum index page, but a more complete integration sounds cool. |
I will add my name to this wish list!
"Clicks Install" If it helps to motivate anyone! I would be happy for the integration with 2.30 also! |
Sounds very intriguing.
|
I would love to see this as well
|
I would like to see this as well, even a version for vbulletin 2.3.x would work as I am sure there are many that will not be upgrading to vb3. I doubt I will upgrade to vb3 even when it does go gold.
|
I just looked and this would be easy. I already did Phpauction for one my customers.
I may be willing to do this as a paid hack. |
I currently use OSCommerce with vBulletin 2.3.X on my site. I am willing to PAY to have someone fully integrate OSCommerce with vBulletin user database. Another nice feature would be OSC sharing templates with vB, but that's not as important.
How's that for motivation? |
this would be gr8 i just installed osCommerce

Hi,
I'm currently working on a personal oscommerce store and I also want to get it integrated with vBulletin. I'm hiring a php/mysql/oscommerce guru to work on it and due to the cost, I was wondering if anyone here is interested in sharing with me the development cost in making this script! The programmer did not give me a quote on the cost but if anyone is willing to join with me (the more, the merrier), I will fairly split the cost equally base on the no of people joining in this effort and each member will get a copy of the script and installation its a win-win situation for everyone)! I will provide the evidence of the development so as to make everything as transparent as possible. Please kindly send me a PM if your interested. Thank you. |
Anyone else interested in this project??? :)

We should also see what insactus would charge for this job! at least as a fair comparison or guideline! Its a good start that he is a member of these forums! |
Hi everyone!
Thanks for your PM! The programmer is asking a price of around $200~250 with a time frame of 20-30 days to complete the hack. Right now I'm trying to bargain with him on the price but it would be great if we can join in and combine our resources so as we can further save on the development costs. Right now, we have 3 guys interested in developing this project so lets say the cost is around $250 then this will be split divided as follows: $250 / 3 = $83.33/per person. As such, it would be great if we can have at least 10 or more people so we can split the cost even further! Please send me a PM or post them in this thread if you wish to join. :) |
Make that 4 people willing to contribute to paying for this hack, cause I gona need a shopping cart integrated into vB
BTW- is that a quote from insanctus or someone else? Someone (like insanctus) that is familiar with vbb might have an easier time |
Any update on progress?
|
Im also interested. thanks
|
I would be interested as well. I'd even be more than happy to pay the $250-300 to have it done. :D

I'm moving from osCommerce to xCart. There is a plugin that intergrates it into vBulletin.
|
they look pretty similar, exept for the Price tag attached to xCart.
How does the integration look? |
anything come about with this..? I am looking for something like this currently..
|
Any new on this mod?

the x-cart vb integration is only one way. Its not really the best. I have a copy of x-cart and am starting to realize its not all its cracked out to be. Which is why I am working on programming my own shopping cart along with a few other nice goodies that can integrate with it for 3.5. Contact me for more information.
