Nuke to vBulletin (Transfer Users)
This little hack switches all your users from PHPNuke to vBulletin easily :bunny: Post questions here, ICQ, AIM, or MSN Support will NOT be answered!
Note: This will not overwrite current members :D This only works on a clean install (Empty the user and userfield tables) :hurt: -Created by Ted of SimGateway.com -Fixed by ManagerJosh of WorldSims.org  Version: Nuke to vB [Final] |
Nice hack! I wish it was released when I used vB...but yeah, it's cool.
|
Does this hack work for Postnuke? Postnuke is a fork of PHPNuke and at this point in the develelopment is a complete rewrite of PHPNuke. If you could do something similar for postnuke, a lot of people would use your hack and be thankful.

It should be able to transfer users. If the postnuke user table is the same, it should be able to transfer.
However I recommend you check to make sure the structure is the same. I'll have to check with Ted since I helped him in this. But I'm pretty sure it works. |

Nice hack, but many peoples goals is to achieve full nuke and vb integration hehe, yours seems to be different :)
Anyways good hack |
Nice av drkfusion......
|
ya a vb and nuke intagration would be way to hard since each hack modual would have to be edited to keep the intagration going.
|
Using the vb to phpnuke alpha hack, you can possibly integrate them. However it isn't a pure integration, but at least it works :)

Two things people should know about this revised edition.
1) You don't need a clean install of vBulletin anymore. If you have existing users from Both PHP-Nuke and vBulletin, PHP-Nuke users will be transfered into vBulletin regardless of how many users they have in vBulletin. Nuke users will be added after your current vbulletin users without affecting posts, threads, forums, and whatever data that is currently in vBulletin and PHP-Nuke. I have tested it for every possible scenario I can think of. If you have a scenario, please post it here and I'll see if I can simulate the scenario and make the necessary adjustments to the script. 2) An error in the previous script was the improper transfering of userids should you have existing users. I have fixed that however it requires access to global.php therefore you are now required to upload the file to /admin As always, please make backups your nuke database and your vBulletin database in case something happens. Ted and I will not be responsible if this script causes damage to vBulletin, PHP-Nuke, and anything not mentioned herein. |

so with this, when new users sign up under phpnuke does it automatically convert it to vbull user files? is this all id need to integrate vbull and phpnuke user datafiles?
|
This isn't an integration script, Blade. This is an import script where you would import the users from PHP-Nuke to vBulletin.
|
ahh... see i need an integraton script...
|
I recommend this hack though mind you it was designed for phpnuke 5.5/5.6

This hack has a error in the download link
|
I'm not sure what error message you are seeing, but I'm not seeing any error message in the download link.
|
Sorry for the confusion. I was refering to the nuketovbfinal.zip file, the direct link in the hacks section gives an error. But I now see that the file is attached to the first post in this thread.
|
I cant get the attachement to download? It says I am not logged in??????
|
Try again. I'm not sure why but you should be able to download it since you are able to post here.
|
An updated version for PHP-Nuke 6.5 will be out in a few days. I just need time to write it. :)

Hi Manager Josh
What do I need to make your script work with phpnuke 6.0 ?? When I tried your script it said: Quote:

Just to clarify what I want to do, I want to transfer 120 user's from phpnuke 6.0 to my vBulletin 2.3.0 database. Please help me as I dont want to have to do it manually. Thanks amp2000 |
I'm getting the wierd feeling you installed into your nuke/admin directory. Install here:
$bburl/admin It requires global.php from vBulletin. |
Thanks for the reply ManagerJosh but that wasnt the problem, it was my DB
On reading your reply I assumed the script should work on phpnuke 6.0 so I tried it on a clean nuke6.0 install & it worked, I then got a backup copy of my database containing all the user's & it worked beautifully so it seem's the problem was with my database, *not* the script. Thank you so much for your reply/help/script, youve saved me a ton of work ;) Cheers amp2000 |
Sure thing :)
Glad to be of assistance. |
will it work for 2.2.9 or 2.3?
|
I did not see any changes made to the vBulletin user database, so yes it should work.
Be sure you install it in your forums/admin directory and not nuke/admin directory. |
5-20-2003 - Updated version of Script.
ZIP Contains Older Version (for people who has an older version pf PHP-Nuke) and Newer Version that supports PHP-Nuke 6.5. |
thank's ...
i will tray it with Nuke 6.8 + VB 2.3.0 |
any news about this.. I too have gotten errors about the users not getting tranfer over to this.. from nuke 6.5 to vb2.3.2
|
Gizzmo, what sort of errors? Are you using the up to date script I wrote?
|
User ()...already exists!
User ()...already exists! User ()...already exists! User ()...already exists! This and sometimes it has just some letters in it.. Im running phpnuke 6.5. and vb 2.3.x |

You place the import script into the /admin/ folder of phpnuke. You are suppose to put the import script into the /admin/ folder of vBulletin. |
You place the import script into the /admin/ folder of phpnuke
Nope its in the vb forum admin.. the first couple lines work than the rest are repeats above... this is for 6.5 nuke not the nuketobb by tom. |
