Registered Group Details
Registered Group Details
2.2.x | by Velocd Install time: 4 minutes Template edits: 1 (forumhome) New templates: 2 (registered_users, registered_userbit) New files: 1 (regusers.php) What is it? This small nifty add-on will give detailed information on how many users are in each user-title group, and what percent of the whole forum. It appears in a pop-up when you click the number of registered members you have, on the forum home page. Screenshots? Demo's? No demo's, but you can find a screenshot in the next post ;) Instructions? See install.txt, inside the zip. If you use this hack, please remember to click install! :p Suggestions and comments are always welcomed. |

Nice hack Velocd, shame I don't display the number of members on my forum :(
[edit] After taking another look does this display the actual usergroup and members or the number of members that fall into each user title range? The description makes it sound like the first and the screenshot makes it sound like the second ;) [/edit] |
Well, you could still make a link for this on your homepage, unless you're saying that you don't display it for other reason.. ;)
|
I'm thinking about adding it on now, incase you don't see my edit above:

Yeah, I know I kinda picked a vague hack title, but I wasn't too sure what else to call it.
It displays the different user-titles, and then in each displays how many members are a part of it. Not the usergroup, but user-titles. I also forgot to mention that members with customtitles are included into the very last usertitle group, before you can achieve customtitles. (for example in the screenshot, my custom-titled users are included in Forum Ultimate..um). Oh, hopefully most of you allow custom titles after the last usertitle....better check that out. ;) |
It was this part that confused me:

This will be my last release for awhile...or at least until the next prophecy tells me of a new hack to create. :p |
I wish I could think of ideas like you...I havn't had any unique ones lately. Your lucky, write the hacks while you still can. ;)
|
Good idea. :) Not installing it to reduce the queries on my index page, but it's a good idea nonetheless. You come up with great ideas for hacks.
|
This won't actually create any queries unless someone clicks on the link ;)
|
Erwin this calls no queries on your index page :p
It's on it's own file, regusers.php ^^ |
I see. :) That's even better! Good job! :p
|
Nice hack.
Installed:) |
nice work Velocd :)

Good stuff
This would be awesome if it was by usergroup. |

$usergrouptitle to $usergroup[title] And change; $totalusers to $usergroup[count] And upload the attached PHP file, that will show usergroups, not user titles. |
Thanks!!!
|
And now to look a gift horse in the mouth :)
Any way to select with groups to display ? Purdy please? There are several I don't want to display, like waiting confirmation, banned, etc. Thanks in advance. :) |

:)
For the "For Multi groups:" of the code you posted, entering a group id there excludes that group from showing up... works fine. I expected that to include the groups. Thanks again! |
I've edited the post and chaged it so that you specify which groups to include, not exclude :)

Nice hack, but I used the usergroup version from NTLDR ;D.

Great Hack!
/me klicks the Install-Link! |
How could one not have this set to count custom titled people in the last group, but instead make them their own category of "Custom Titles" whatever%?
The reason I ask is because I have it set that you can set a custom title after 25 posts, but the biggest regular title group is 1000 posts. 6 people have custom titles assigned, and I have 0 in the biggest group (1000 posts). When I view the details, it says my biggest group has 6 people in it. How would I change this? |
I'm having a slight problem with this showing up. I have my $numbermembers in the forumhome_pmloggedin template instead of the forumhome. I'm sure this is the problem, but how can I get it to work from there?
