Hack available for Review site?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is anything available (or even possible) to allow vb to have forums dedicated to reviews of various products?

I'd like to switch over my website to be forum based. In addition to having "normal" forums, I'd also like to have a section that allows visitors to submit reviews of products. This would require me to change the way the forums in those particular sections work so that the user has new features (like ranking the products attributes in different categories: 1-10) and state opinions about the products. I'd imagine the thread would be locked after the initial post (review submission), but could be read by other visitors. Also, I'd like a way to tally up the rankings and keep global totals for each product. Would vb allow for this type of modification? How difficult would it be to do? Is there anything similar available?

Thanks for all of the help!

I'm almost 100% sure there is a review hack out there, pretty much exactly, if not similar to what you want.

If theres not, I don't think it would be incredibly hard to create one.

Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know where to find this hack? I've looked around and have been unsuccessful.

Thanks again,
KMA

kma, if you have already bought vBulletin, please go to this page and enter your username, to show you are licensed. (you will need to use your customer number and password to access that page)
Otherwise, you won't be able to download hacks from this site until you do.

FireFly,

I haven't bought vB yet (I will most likely be buying it in the near future), and don't need to download the hack. I just wanted to know where it was and look over any descriptions to aid in my purchasing decision. It would also help verify if this hack truly does exist, or if I would have to modify/create one of my own.

Thanks!

I've been looking for something similar and can't find anything. Anyone know where to find one?

I do not believe a reviews script has yet been created, although one may be in progress.

I am looking for a similar thing and will be able to pay for it (small but reasonable budget).

Anyone interested?

Perhaps a few people could club togther if there is enough demand?

Cheers

i just registered here today, I'm very very interested in a review hack, something similar to what's being used on www.hardocp.com would be awesome. Really what I want most is a multi-page feature. The stars and reviewed by stuff you could with html or even text, but the multiple page reviews, that's what I really want.

obiwan8472 11-01-2003 12:29 PM

I would too like something like this

Lesane 11-01-2003 01:58 PM

I am almost done with creating an article/review hack, you could pm me if you are interested in it and i will show you an online demo when it's done.

Hi

Dont seem to have permission to do that, i get this error:

Desperate for this hack to replace the extremely buggy reviewpost with supposed vB intergration (quite possibly the worst written script I have ever come across).

Any news or anyone interested in making it ?

You could try Cinq's vbarticles at vbarticles.com or try Nail Geeks Article system.

Oh and why is ReviewPost buggy?
