RPG Class Hack v1.0
 

Vincent]Okay okay I know there's been like 2 other ones released already but this one is special :P Anyways what's special about it is that each class has five level ups. Determining how many post the user has will show what level s/he's on with the class s/he choses. Anyways this is my first hack and I'm not a PHP Expert so if you have a major problem then I probably can't help, you can still ask anyways though. Here's what this hack includes.

- A list of classes that your users can chose from
- Level ups for those classes depending on the posts
- A Picture for each class

Umm... that's about it lmao anyways here's the credit I'm giving, I also include this in the readme.txt and install.txt

This only is tested on vB2.2.6

- Most of the credit goes to zajako since I used part of his RPG Elements Hack, most of it is used from that.
- Some credit also goes to Aerith for making this easier for me since I didn't have to type everything up completely since I could just edit the stuff on hers and add my coding.
- Some more credit goes to Atian for teaching me a little bit of PHP and for answering my question on this

Oh haw haw you've made my job class 2.0.0 a lot easier now. I was working on a seperate Levelling up function for the classes but I'm gonna take a look at yours.

LOL Jynx! My job class was my first hack too LOL. Then I went over my head and did my store directory ( http://forums.zcentralhq.com/forums/directory.php?s= ) which I ain't gonna release as it's strewn with bugs and is being a proper pain in the ass.

Anyway, did you get these pics from Xenogears? Cause some of the spirtes, I've never seen before and I only remembered that Final Fantasy 5 had Red and Time Mages. Unless this is not from a FF, then i don't nkow.

Got them all from FFT, some may not be though, my friend sent most of them over, but I believe they're all from FFT

Yea that was a key mistake in my hack.. too many classes. Although with version 2.0.0 I did want to add Admin CP support so the end-user could add classes themselves through the admin CP. But that sort of PHP is beyond me...... I wouldn't know where to start.

BTW if you could possibly gimme some credit on your forums it would be appreciated.

Ummm... what do you mean by that? Anyways that type of PHP is beyond me also, maybe Atian will actaully teach me some more later on lmao

Yea, Aerith, I was hoping for something along those lines. Though that would require a lot of queries and file changes, have fun writing that, lol.

Vincent's hack is pretty easy to edit and add new classes but can get very very big. After adding this hack, my functions.php (user to be 98 kb) is now 122 kb, lol.

Ummm.. yeah there is a way to add a class only for admins. I'll PM it to you later if I get around to it.

[D]Vincent, whenever you get "class only for admin" out, can you post at here? I d like to use that feature too.

And also is there possible to add/custom job class just like what add profile did at AdminCP and also including upload the images (Job class icon)?

The Admin/Mod/Super Mod only classes will be a part of my job classes Version 2.0.0 as well as several other nifty features.

How do I do a query? I have done all the template mods and .php mods, but I didn't do the

ALTER TABLE user ADD rpgclass SMALLINT (6) not null

query. How do I do this?

and ther eis no red mage in fft,so im guessing that was custom made aswell,however did it, :thumbsup:
