hack name: Spamers post count

By: Anime-loo

Update: code fix, please re hack, download new text file (in this post) this sould fix this for everyone :D

to do's: 1 SQL query, 1 file to hack (note: SQL query can be avoided by adding the new usergourp in the cp, but the added code must be changed to use the new usergourp number)

once installed move the user into the new spammer usergourp and your done

g-force2k2 07-04-2002 02:05 AM

eh? It's certainly different :p nothing of course i would use... i would personally rather make a usergroup for them or better yet if they're too spammy i just ban them ;) i guess this is just like trying to humiliate them anyways :p

yep ;) might as well have some fun with them before you ban them heh

How does it determine if they are a spammer or not. I have a lot of users who just post a lot, and it's pretty much all relevant conversation or important communication. Infact I have one moderator who is so active he usually has five windows open at a time, all posting multiple messages.

Velocd 07-04-2002 03:55 AM

You must have turned off the "time between posting" option in order for your mod to be posting multiple message at the same time.

About the hack, cool but I would also have to agree with Marshalus on the fact that not everyone with a high post count is a spammer. And also with gforce2001, that a usergroup would be better. In fact a spammer hack with the usergroup has already been released, and is pretty nifty. You can find it by searching the forums.

Marshalus 07-04-2002 03:57 AM

Yeah accually he's a Super Mod so I guess his time limit is void ;)

Brad 07-04-2002 04:18 AM

you have to move them into the new usergorup. so its up to your whos spaming and whos not ;)

Marshalus 07-04-2002 05:59 AM

AH! Nice, helps to know these things :)
