Welcome Panel [Advertisement Modification]
 

This is nothing much, I am new at this php coding, I just fool around with codes, and when I discover something that is useful to me, I share it.

This would have to be the first of my useful discoveries.




{Description of Hack}::
This is a simple hack that adds a beautiful table to the Welcome Panel. That is viewed if a unregistered user visits the forumhome, but is taken away if te user is user is registered, the table dissapears aswell. Pretty easy, just seems neat.


The instructions are in the txt file attatched in this post.

I hope this helps atleast 1 person.

I have this same principle, but added the banner to my footer. Maybe this is a nice addon :)

Great job! This is exactly what I was looking for. You must have read my mind. :) It is working flawlessly. I have a scroller box in the table for the unregistered users and it is gone like it was never there for the registered ones. You're on your way! (Firefly 2 might be reaching a little high, but what the heck, go for it!) :)

What do i need to change so that all users see the banner?

Ummm... well thanks for the info. :) After a few hours I found it for my self.

How did you do that? I know it has got to be something simple, but I am completely missing it.

does this work with vb2.3.3 or vb2.3.4 I was having some problems with it not show all my forum..
