FORUM aniversary hack; users that registered on the current date shown on forumhome
 

hello,

nothing too complex just something like the happy birthday bit on the forum home page only that will show all users that registered on todays date, have posted within the last 30 days and the number of years ago they registed,

hope someone who 'knows' knows what im getting at:o

Is this a new hack by you Logician? If so, why not just release it publicly instead of posting it in here?

I provided with many codes in Requests forum and I personally prefer to release the hacks only if I think they appeal to many people, not only to the requester. It seemed to me that only Jamie would be interested with this and that's why I posted it here. If other people like it, holler and I'll release it. :)

Another reason: I have coded it very recently and its not tested long. Even if it will be released, I first would like it to be tested and debugged for a while.

i think theres a problem with the file you attached Oo. It dosent show what to find in Index.php

I have noticed that I forgot to add the step 3 to instructions. So here it is:

BTW at first the idea wasnt very appealing to me (maybe because my board is younger than 1 year) but now it seems that it was a nice idea. I will try to make some improvements on the hack (like changing the userstyle of the user if he visited the day in the anniversary). If you have other ideas please share. But no pm/email greetings plz! I know it would be great but requires a lot of coding and I am really fed up with greetings hacks. :) My all recent hacks were around this feature.

Any other ideas to integrate to this hack?
