vB Affiliates

This idea just crossed my mind recently, I thought ALOT of sites could really benefit from this. Everyone knows what an affiliate is. Those little 88x31 buttons everyone uses to link eachother?

Well anyway, it would be cool to see a vB affiliate script. Here my ideas for it.
1- The person could submit an 88x31 button by going to a specific page where they would be prompted to submit "Site Name" , "Site URL", and an "Upload Field' (To upload 88x31 button). The submission would then be moderated, having to be approved by an admin before being displayed. The "affiliates" would be displayed randonmly.
2- The second part of this script would be randomly displaying the affiliates in the database.

I think this would be a really cool hack, I hope someone takes it on :)

im mostly limited to perl, sorry, im learning php, however if you want the files i have for the ubb system i an suply them, under the system admins had to add them via the CP and they showed on a differnt page then the home page.

Why does it take so long?
The main functions of it are simple :-(
Php would be easy for neo, the templateing is the hardest LOL...I hate templating :(
