Pickpocket in Lesane Store
 

As promised It's new version of steal addon to the Lesane Store.
At last the crime on my board is under control.
I translated all templates, but It's not the best english version.
Hope the instruction is full and understandable.

HAHAHAHAHA Interesting hack man. I never though of a theif system. Good on you. Not to sure if this is added but if a users trys to steal from another user and fail they hould get points taken from them and given to the other user.

What does this hack do?

If you have the Lesane Store hack, it gives your users the ability to Pickpocket others.

How so? Like a probability of stealing from someone, and if you fail you lose money or your chances of stealing go lower? And by success it goes up?

I think it is just random that you are successful. If you fail, you either lose money or get banned for a short amount of time (at least that was the original idea). I don't know how exactly he wrote it in though.

i was actually going to make this a while ago... with the shinra points hack.... i wasnt too good at php then... well now i guess i dont have too ... :) lol

If you have some of the points system just as in Lesane Store
you can try to steal others points.

• If you successed You have points but lose some karma
• if you failed you pay penalty (the same amount you try to steal)
• If you have negative point balance you can't write until anybody pay ransom or bail for you
• if you steal from insurant user you pay 20% bribe to insurance agents and victim receive insurance cover
• if you try to steal from mafia protected user you and victim pay a half to godfather

In any case thief waste some karma exept he stealing no more than 5 points a time

After the first terror night with 927 HIJACKING I added some limits

• new user (less eq. 100 posts) can't try to steal
• ban to steal from user who has 100 points and less
• ban to steal last 20 points

You can easily tune this rules for you.

there are some errors in the file:

$stealm should be $stealmoney towards the bottom. (you can just search for "$stealm;")

also, the two lines that give pms to the admin about stealing is causing trouble, never worked from the start, just threw sql errors out. i just commented them out since i dont want my pm box flooded anyways.

maybe if it could post to one thread in a forum that has access only to mods.

also, which version of the karma hack did you use? cuz there is no KARMA in user or where it was in the version i installed.

Well, I installed successfully.. but when I attempt to steal.. after the conformation page.. I get a DB error..

mysql error number: 1064

exactly what i was getting til i change $stealm to $stealmoney.

might also try setting the cost of stealing to 1

ack, sometimes people try to steal, and meet all requirements, and still say dont take last 20 or whatever.

GenSec, could you please post a link or files of what Karma hack it was that you used?

As I said I use personaly tuned version of karma hack which was provided by one man who asked don't public it. Sorry.
But any karma or point hack has in user database similiar field.

appears that store_file was never specified or was this from the karma hack??
i commented out this line and it still works, also, it seems to be (a lot) easier to steal with this version.

You are right. Store_file is used only in my store.
Delete it as I did :classic:
I'm using store_file to store users transactions.
Also I recommend to add insurance and godfather (or any other internal user account) in safe (unstealing) space. Just as admin account: . Move those accounts to admin usergroup (usergroupid=6). Or replace to

Anyway you can edit the first post with all the new fixes? One other thing can you post the addon with out the Karma hack in it?

I can't say what is wrong with your database. But you can try one more, or just use PHPmyADMIN to add the line directly

It means you should to register new user with nick "Godfather",
which userid="GODFATHERID". The same with user "INSURANCE".
