c-prompt's shop? how do i get one?

i'm interested to start selling t-shirts, hats, mugs, etc with my website symbol... the same like c-prompt did. can anyone help me on this and give some tips? thanks.

http://www.cafepress.com will let you do it for free, highly-recommended. I setup a store here: http://www.cafepress.com/scgoods

I'll second cafepress.

Another good one is Zazzle, but they have yet to officially open to the public.

Admin 05-05-2002 09:29 AM

Is Cafepress really all that?

wannaberockstar 05-05-2002 04:19 PM

I've heard that they take a big percentage out for fees, but I suppose it's good for small shops.. but I've never actually tried it :-\

bigmattyh 05-05-2002 07:08 PM

They charge a base price for items, such as $11.99 for a t-shirt. Then you can set whatever price you want on the item, say $13.99. And then you keep whatever is over the base price -- $2.00 in this case.

The question is how many t-shirts/hats/mugs can you sell, and at what price, so that you can make money?

It's a great service, though -- no having to buy things in a gross and then sell them one at a time. It's perfect for a group or small business that can't afford to build an inventory.

I made 5000 bucks on cafepress.

Of course it all went to charity :)

Admin 05-07-2002 11:52 AM

Well a vBulletin Shop would be awesome but I have no idea what to do with the money. I can't take it of course (is that even legal?).

Neo 05-07-2002 08:05 PM

Well if you wanted to make money off of selling vBulletin.org stuff... you would have to get permission from the copyright / tradename holders of VB. I would buy a hat, shirt, or coffee cup ;)

FleaBag 05-21-2002 11:14 PM

Now all I need is a cool logo... any offers? ;)

TECK 05-25-2002 06:26 PM

thanks alot guys for your help. :)

Chris M 05-25-2002 07:50 PM

Hmmm...

A vBulletin Shop...

Hey...I got an idea! Why not open one, and sell liscences in certificate form there?

Satan

TECK 05-26-2002 07:58 AM

nahh. they are to busy rating threads "1".

tubedogg 05-26-2002 08:36 AM

If you post that one more time I will personally ban you. You have made your point multiple times and it is bordering on spamming. Cut it out. Now.

i apologise, but i missed your answer here, tubedogg.

i can say my opinion freely on those boards. i don't insult or threaten nobody. i just say the truth. i will call my lawyer to find out what are my rights if i'm getting banned from a service i paid $160, just for simply stating that people rate my threads "1".

notice that, at vb.org, it was the first post i mentioned about ratings 1. i guarantee you that people will not agree on this with you. however, i'm prepared to take legal action if i'm banned from this board for the reason:
"saying that people rate my threads '1'".
i will also contact john, the product manager, to let him know about this issue. in the email, i will also include screenshots with deleted posts and relevant received pm's about the rating matter.

update
i called my lawyer. he told me that in your statement regarding to spam, "if a jelsoft representative ban you from this board, he will have to ban every single user who posted on different threads, similar thoughts, expressions, etc. they had, twice."

regards,
floren munteanu.

Sparkz 06-07-2002 02:23 PM

OMG! Hand the site over to me, and I'll ban you simply because you've got your head up your arse with all this 'I payed money for VB, and I deserve to know what color underwear the developers have'-attitude of yours. Does your lisence say ANYTHING about access to this site? Did you check british laws too? You know, the rest of the world isn't as fscked up legally as the US/Canada/whatever - the rest of the world won't make you rich because the pants you bought didn't come with a note saying explicitly that you have to take them off before taking a dump to avoid getting your own turd trapped between your legs.

TECK 06-07-2002 02:27 PM

thank you sparkz for your kind words.

all the best,
floren.

Floris 06-07-2002 02:31 PM

nakkid, this forum has NOTHING to do with vBulletin, it is a small sister site, and has no official support from Jelsoft/vBulletin(.com) Your lawyer might overlooked that.

And besides that, moderators are free to bad anybody for no given reason, at any time.

I seriously think you need a reality check dude, you are overheating. Fix your real life problems first, before you project your issues online to others. Who seriously can use their time better then to have to deal with you. I am quite sick of you "I am God, the world swirls around me", adding you to 'ignore' list.

ps
With that 160$ you paid, you get life time support. Through the members area, you can enter support tickets. The forum is just a live-board with direct input/output from the users, vB team and developers. Everybody there can decide at any time to STOP helping or even shut it down 100%. NO obligation towards ANYBODY.

my 10 cents, my 2 cents are free.

Admin 06-07-2002 02:51 PM

Please discuss whatever personal arguments you may have through private messages. Thread closed.

Good timing, nakkid. :)

TECK 06-07-2002 02:51 PM

i'm not nervous at all xiphoid. honestly.

let me show you what is stated at the top of your member's area, in big letters:

url:

ALSO:
[high]Online Resources
vBulletin Community Forums

Maybe I understand wrong what Jelsoft means by that, support on the forums. Please explain to me. How can I enquire support if i'm banned?

Comparing vBulletin.org with vBulletin.com is not irrelevant. I do not request to get support on hacks, they are not supported by Jelsoft, but I think is a matter of professionalism not to conduct those actions like rating in purpose my threads "1". Please note that this thread had nothing upseting into it. It was a simple question about c-prompt's online store. notice also that every single thread i start is rated always "1".

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Steve Machol 06-07-2002 02:57 PM

nakkid, with all due respect your 'Lawyer' doesn't know what he's talking about. No one has an unalienable 'right' to post on these forums. I hope that little chat with your lawyer didn't cost too much.

IMO you are turning a relatively minor annoyance into a MAJOR problem - one much larger than it deserves to be. My advice is to just drop this whole "Why is someone rating my threads 1" thing. Whoever is doing this is getting the exact response he/she wants. This is similar to a troll. The best thing to do is to ignore them and they eventually get tired of the game and go play in someone else's sandbox.

In short - caln down, relax, take a deep breath, and don't let things you can't control bother you so much!

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Steve Machol 06-07-2002 03:00 PM

P.S. Even a licensed user can get banned from the vbulletin.com forums. The fact that they have a license does not excuse them from acting responsibly and following the rules of the forum or the request of the Moderators. They will, however, have continuing access to the Members Area for support.
