whats a Quintessence

all i see is

The pure, highly concentrated essence of a thing.

Yeah I agree, could you please tell us wth this does? Thanks. And maybe rename Quintessence to whatever in english its suppose to mean, it would appeal to more people that way.

A thought just occured to me, having viewed the gifs intensivly. I guess the meaning of this hack must be, that the concentrated content of his themes reflect the quintessence of his board ;) ... which would make me rather deppressive, so I guess hes gone to see his therapist.

the distillate.php file is based on the forumdisplay.php
different board got diffrernt forumdisplay.php ,so i cant give the file ,the modify is very simple.my english is poor ,many people didnt konw what this hack does .it is my fault ,i descrip it in a strange way.so i will explain it in a simple way.in your forum
you will find some great or cool topic in lots of normal post,this hack mark these cool topic with a pic which i show,and gathered with distillate.php ,so people in your forum will find cool topic easily.

I think he is trying to say its the same as making a thread "sticky", but instead of it staying at the top of the thread and have the work "sticky" in front of the thread title, it just has a little picture next to the thread name.

My opinion: DWZ came very close with the sticky thing, but the distillate.php (the modified forumdisplay.php) displays only the cool topics. So it's a forumdisplay with only sticky threads (as you can see in his image: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...&postid=246794). Quite useful if you just want to browse for your favourite threads.

I dont see the point of this hack. There already are hot icons that label popular threads. Am I missing something here?
