The ultimate HP MP Hack
 

This hack looks just like knomans hp/mp/exp/level hack but it has new features for it. Instead of having set hp/mp amounts that you can't change unless you are posting. It allows mods, supermods, and admins change the hp and mp.

this makes it great for forums rpgs that use a d&d type system and want their bars to tell what the charaters hp and mp really are.

THe exp, level, max hp, max mp all go by the old system. But no the hp and mp can be changed.

also the hp and mp updates are easy. Just click the letters hp or mp and it pops up a window. Then just type a number or a - number to take away .

I finaly got around to updating this... actualy i updated it a while agon and it got ruined because of a hard drive crash.....
well here is the run down...

This hack allows users to update thir max stats after they have posted for a while. Instead of them going up by them self. Also it makes it so that there is a handy total refil button so you don't have to do math to fill up someones life. There is one slight problem. When this gets started everyone will be 0/0 for all thier stats. They must hit update to gain there max stats then a mod or admin must fill up thier life.From thier you can set up a battle system with text and have a mod or admin ref and deal the damage.The more that a member posts the more his/her hp max goes up, the longer a member has ben there the more thier ma goes up and pp is similar.

A quick run down of the stats
HP -> life
MA -> mystic aura or magic
PP -> Power Points when an attack is done weak to reserve power for a stronger hit
Ap -> Anger Percentage it goes up as you are delt damage

This hack doesn't deserve "ULTIMATE" in its name, giving mp/hp to each person is time consuming and would take forever!

We need a battle system :(
That way HP/MP can be affected more realisticly, by battle.

but when i changed the template that we edited back to normal and uploaded the modator it was all back to normal.

sorry, guys i don't know why you got that error. I made this one for my allies board and it workked their but I threw the instructions togther rather rapidlyt so there may be some mistakes. I will redo this file later.

also abouyt a battle hack. This is not amde for a battle hack but can be easily used for it. What I am making for my 4.0 site will be a battle system that will play like a snes rpg battle system with many advanced options. It is in devo and will be finished in 3-6 months. If you want to participate in this game im making i would recomend going to my board and getting your gold up because gold will transfer over to tfo4. Gold is earned by posts.

(for further info I will not be giving out my battle system because it will be far too complex for someone to just copy it onto their server.)

im a bit new to php and i have a question. i use php3 and if i want to install these hacks do i have to change the file name to .php3 or do i just upload them?

Well, I think it's a fine hack but not one I prefer to use. Velocd is right, giving HP and all to every member can be time consuming. I would much rather use the automatic one, but I plan on writing one myself. Just in case I decide to make some sort of battle hack down the road, I want it all to work without me having to intervine everytime.

Or nobody knows that, but all people use the hack?

hp = health points
mp = magic points
exp = experince that makes your max hp and max mp go up
levels thes go up by exp and represend an amount of experince so you can compare to other people of similar exp.

tfo(my board) uses a diff sys than that though

here are the new things at my site

MA = mystic Aura
PP = Power points
AP = anger percent

there are many more at my site, but thats only because my site is a site for a game im developing for the PS3 or computer.

got big problem.. when i click the hp or mp.. the pop up doesn't seems to work to let my user change their points..anyone can help me out here.. million thanks to you.. my site is www.justkool.com

users can't change their own points. Only admins and mods can change hp and mp. This is so people can't cheat.

if you as an admin can't change the members hp and mp, then pm me and i will help you out. You can also aim me at zajako2.

i fixed mediafuzions problem, if anyone is having problems where the page is not loading when hp or mp is clicke doncheck a few things....
1.) In the post bit edit make sure the links do not say moderate.php3 unless you are using a php3 extention. This was the solution to the above problem.

2.) Make sure the link in the post bit displays action=hp for hp and action=mp for mp.

other than that i have found no other issues except the table issue found earlier by khaybel. that issue was a simple html issuse that happened due to the fact that i have edited mine and did not test with the instructions given. I am sorry for that.

I am working on an update for this hack. It fixes everything else as well as including pp and ap like my former tfo stats hack did. It also replaces mp with ma. The update also has some other features that you will make filling up life easier as well as a upgrade for the lesane store hack to add an inn to fill up hp and ma. This also seperates the stats from the rest of the board so that it can be called from every page, including your forums home page. This hack will include the famos welcome panel hack edited to display your bars. This is a big hack making it a little more fitting of the ultimate Stats hack. not to mention it is set up so people can make a battle system to deal damage through database addings and subtractings.

Please let me know what you think of these updates and wheaterh or not you think this makes it woth the title ultimate stats hack.

also i almost forgot, critical, if you still need help aim me. mediafuzion did and his problem is solved. this goes for any one else having this problem. Aim me because leaving a site url does not get me to fix it.

ehh, i dislike to double post but I will anyway...

I have decided to also infuse the element hack into this one. depending on the elment you choose your hp, ma, pp, and ap will be effected and modified.

ex
light element will give +50 to max hp
and so on. Plus the element hack will be mde better with all errors fixed and better integration.

On vb 2.2.6, everything goes ok till step #5 when customizing the functions.php file.

Then, it gives the Parse error and both admin and main forums page show that error.


Any ideas?

Few questions.

I can take a gander at the fact that having the stats update on each post would put a rather heavy burden on the server. However, is there some sort of check I could implement that would monitor when a user levels up, then runs an automatic update?

Also, I'm still a little lost as far as what exactly the PP and AP do. How do I calculate these into actual battles? What do they affect, and how are they supposed to be distributed? I'm not looking for a very straight-forward answer for the calculation part, just an idea as to how I oughta work with 'em. :)

Also, I added something small, but it makes the hack look better to users:

Instead of "None" being selected for the Element everytime a user goes to update their profile, I added some simple javascript to determine which Element the user currently has in their profile :)

the mysql error your getting is because you are supposed to chane it so forum says your dbname.
