Diffrent PMs Quota of diffrent user group

This is the second hack finished by Green Hack Team.
we are tested this hack with vbulletin version 2.2.2 & 2.2.4, I personally think it's a great hack for you to maintain your forum of user's PMs.
This hack was request by a user who has a problem of PMs makes his database getting biger and biger, but some of the user groups need enough PMs to do the communicate.....

And I think we helped him out....

Install this hack is very easy, I've made a database installation script for you so that you don't need to make any change of your database on your own. But there still have few *.php files need you to edit.

Below is a discription of the hack :

Hack Name :
User Group PMs Quota

version : 0.1

Hack description :
Allow you to set up diffrent PMs quota to diffrent user groups.

Great hack.

Also, this brings me an idea for my upcoming store hack :)

Nice and helpful. :)
Only one thing, instead of fetching the quota from the database for the user's usergroup, you can already use $permissions['youFieldName'] as it's already there from the getpermissions() function. :)

To FireFly :
I got it, thanks for showing me that....

To Lesane :
I'm looking forward to your upcoming hack....

Great hack and installed fine but I'm running into problems now where certain usergroups are constantly getting 'full inboxes' messages.

I've even tried giving these groups unlimited quotas and the problem still exists [the groups include super moderators]. I've followed the instructions to a T as far as I know. Any suggestions?

If it helps, I'm getting reports from users that everything is fine until they get 12 PMs stored. This is consistent over the last 2 days.

Thanks in advance,

~Regs.

We don't have that kind problem on my forum, do you set the original vbulletin PMs quota to 0 ( it's in the vBulletin Options=>Private Messaging Options=>Maximum saved messages this option must set to 0)?? I've wrote this note in the readme file, please check it out. If there's still get problem, we can discuss it through emails.

I have the PM guage hack installed as well as this one, and it shows my % used as 0% - prior to this being installed it always shows something like 151% (since I have no limit, being an Admin and all:)).

Any ideas?? :(

I had to uninstall this as I had the same problem as Regs. Are you able to fix it, or double check your instructions? I too followed it to a T...

Same here. My users are starting to get errors as well. As with most things I've ran into is there somewhere else that pmquota is checked at?

Check admin/user.php

I messed with that and got errors :)

Ok I worked with the coding a bit and I believe I may have fixed it. I've attached the instructions that should work. If you have the enhanced private message hack installed replace $pmquota with $permissions['grouppmquota']

It appears to be working on my board.

Could you explain how you got this to work with the PM guage on the index.php page?

I set the vB Admin Options to Zero (0), but I get "Divide by Zero" errors in the showthread and Index page.

Also, I have the PM Stats Guage installed within the postbit ...

Thanks in advance!
