Item Shop 1.0
 

This is the release of Item Shop 1.0.

It has been inspired by a friend who got it from another friend and showed me this hack, and I don't know where the orginal person's at it from, probably an non-registered vbulletin but i will say no further. I have edited the scripting quite a bit so I give credit to whoever it was that started this hack as well. :D

Included in this hack are the following things:

- Weapon Shop
- Armor Shop
- Helmet Shop
- Shield Shop
- Shoes Shop
- Spell Shop
- Summon Shop
- Accessory Shop

What's required:

A vbulletin of 2.0.0 or higher
A points system of some sort, Shinra's points system is recommended.
Some knowledge of PHP
Solid knowledge of the Vbulletin
Good knowledge of HTML

This hack is pretty big, it will require a long time to set up to your liking but it's VERY easy and in NO way will it harm your vbulletin in any way. This hack uses NO mysql database modifications, NO vbulletin file modifications, just uploading some custom php files, creating 2 templates, and editing the postbit. The hack is an overall tedious hack to set up but it gets the job done and that's all that counts!

I know you'll have millions of questions for this hack so post what you want and I'll help you as much as possible! :D ENJOY!

When you perform this hack, make sure u read the instructions VERY VERY carefully or else something will go wrong. But don't worry, I'll be here to help all of you people.

maybe you should change the name, because the name Itemshop is used by Afterlab!! and version 1.0 of it is already out..

How about "RPG Shop"? The name "Itemshop" would be a bit confusing because of Afterlab's hack (even if it is no more available)

THe itemshop was first released by me actually and it will have the same name. i pretty much checked it for errors and there are none.

Are you planning on posting the PHP files and instructions that are needed to actually set the hack up now or later? ;)

Also, can you post the URL of the recommend hack that's needed for this hack? I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned.

Thank you Reeves. Since Vivi doesn't seem to want to release this anymore (as I can't see where the file is), will it work with Afterlab's hack that he has for download on his site?

This looks really good, Vivi! I have a question - can you expand the Item Shop to include a field for a Description, to be displayed in the Item Shop?

Er... why are you taking this down? It seems to be working as intended, so it is a quality hack that I am sure others would enjoy.

if any of you are waiting for xxxxxx.hack.php for vbhacker, forget about is, because there are too many commands for the vbhacker to handle, I can make the version where all your files will be edited by and the templates and blah, but the rest, like editing the

files of the itemshop, you have to do that yourself, if you guys want the file, than fine, I will realse it, but with no credit except for editing it to work with vbhacker! lol

I've got a little list of modifications that if could be done would be really cool:

- Trade items with other players
- When you click the "sell" or item (to buy) it prompts you with a confirmination window.
- Maybe store more than just 1 item of each type?

Hi everyone, I recently installed this hack to my board, and i just need one more thing to make it comeplete... ICONS!!!! If anyone has a full or near-full set of icons in a zip file, can they post it in this thread for those of us who dont have them...

BTW, nice hack vivi.... i am glad it is re-released considering that afterlab would only let himself use his hack...

I was one of the origional users of AfterLab's ItemShop, he just helped create the templates and whatnot. I'm sure I could get the hack if I so desired to, but Vivi's looks promising; time for me to start saving up for a vB for myself :beard:
