well, if i don't post anymore hack, i better keep myself busy with something else. i want you to tell me honestly if this is worth to be put on the main page of vb.org.

personally i would be honoured to have my art work displayed.
be honest and tell me straight if you like it or not. a YES or NO will do great. ;)

btw, i do professional webdesign. in case you wonder... :D

Admin 02-25-2002 04:49 AM

Ohh looks nice nakkid. :D
Does it fit the current header with the stripes and all? :)

TECK 02-25-2002 04:53 AM

yep.. it does :D i thought of it in advance.. is the exact same size.. and if it doesnt fit.. it might be a pixel difference.. i could make for you the rest in 2sec ;)

Sinecure 02-25-2002 05:08 AM

Lookks.. good :)

TECK 02-25-2002 05:09 AM

wow.. thanks sinecure. :) glad you like it.

TECK 02-25-2002 05:11 AM

if you need the .psd file let me know :D

Admin 02-25-2002 05:14 AM

nakkid, make sure everything fits perfectly and I will add it.

TECK 02-25-2002 05:19 AM

hmm i need to make the left and right background then. hold on...

do you want to see the full circle on the left side? or cut like that?

Mark Hensler 02-25-2002 05:26 AM

I do like the effects you have on the text. I like the white flashy thingy with the dark outlined text. But I don't like that font. I think it's too hard to read.

What's with the circles? I don't get it (both the current graphic and nakkids). I'd just assume loose the circle, and center the text.

Just a half cent from a guy who draws crooked stick figures when no one is looking. ;)

TECK 02-25-2002 05:27 AM

thanks alot for your advice. :) mark you are cool.
i thought this is a cool place, so we need something professional but a little excentric also.. after all we are hackers right? :D

that's the reason i made the font a little funky.

Admin 02-25-2002 05:29 AM

nakkid also if you could make the upper and bottom text a bit more readable it would be nice. :)

TECK 02-25-2002 05:30 AM

sure.. i will make it bigger

i moved the text a little to the left. let me know if you like it better.. and i listen to mark's advice :D

Admin 02-25-2002 05:36 AM

Better, but still I think the text is too 'stretched'. Do you mind sending me the PSD so I can play with it a little?

TECK 02-25-2002 05:36 AM

sure ;)

TECK 02-25-2002 05:41 AM

done.. i send you the file. is 500kb

TECK 02-25-2002 05:42 AM

you could grab a pixel width from the left side to make the background for the top table.
feel free to edit it the way you want firefly.. or sinecure :D

the fonts i used are Yahren and Univox Atom Light.
get them at acidfonts.com if you dont have them.

i must warn you, there are several effects applied to text, you move something (except the small text, you could replace this one with what font you like ;)) and all will fall apart. i sweat on this one...

Admin 02-25-2002 06:01 AM

Looks awesome, thanks nakkid. :)

TECK 02-25-2002 06:01 AM

you put it up!!! thanks firefly.. i'm really happy :D would you like me to make the background also?
hmmmmmmm you are fast, one more time... lol. you have it up the background also..

orca 02-25-2002 10:40 AM

Agree. awesome work.

Mark Hensler 02-26-2002 05:32 AM

I like the small text much better now. I think that really helped. :)

TECK 02-26-2002 08:30 AM

mark you are sometimes difficult.. lol. well is up to firefly. he have the .psd file. the logo is now the property of vBulletin.org, even if i made it... ;)

Mark Hensler 02-26-2002 06:05 PM

haha... no no no..

I mean that I like the smaller text (The Ultimate vBulletin Resource) better bigger (as it is now compared to the original).

:D

TECK 02-26-2002 10:43 PM

fiuhhh. you got me scared.. ;) glad you like it mark. everyone seems to react in the same way. i feel good that i contributed a little to the vb.org community. cheers.
