I tested vbulletin version 5.4.4 to 5.6.4, it works

Horizontal style it's a style that puts all user's info above his post content,
unlike the default vertical style that puts user's info to the side of his post's content.
The horizontal style was the default style in vBulletin3, the style continued to exist in vBulletin4 as an option but not as the default style.
In vBulletin5 there is no build-in option to enable horizontal style for posts (though it is still used for the responsive version).

This mod will change your posts design to horizontal style.

How to install:

Download the product product_yilmazhorizontalpostbit.xmland import it through the 'Manage Products' page in the AdminCP.
In some cases it is necessary to do CTRL+F5 to clear browser's cache.

Thats the reason I do not upload a lot of my addons here or elsewhere... Why are you using almost the entire code from Glenn and also almost the entire plugin from rellect and take the credits for a plugin you did not done by your self? The Plugins from rellect are not marked as reuseable and Iam almost sure you did not ask any of the coders you "steal" from. Even it hurts, it is illegal to use others codes! If you name it 2.0, bring new benefits and extra options it could be another story....

And... when you use others code, please use it right next time.... look at your settings datatype "yesno" is a boolean and not a number!

I like to see some new addons here... but please don't use others code, plugins to get credits for. Even you mention the original author as supporter or coauthor it is not ok because you demote the original author to a coauthor.

Reflect has not logged in since 12 years. So, maybe Yilmaz contacted or tried to contact Reflect by email. Reflect has a gmail address.

At least Yilmaz is making an effort to develop for us. You, you are no longer developing and you allow yourself to criticize the work of others. Right now, Yilmaz is the only developper for vB5.

(suggestion to Yilmaz: maybe offer your work on your own forum too)

I always write about who the add-on belongs to.

Many owners of products that are not working and not updated have started using Xenforo or are not online.

There is no more vitality as coders prevent each other rather than help.

Iam developing, but not for free and I will not discuss that because it seems you have your opinion set freezed. I have over 7 years of vB5 experience but I do not want to take care of lazy dudes who asking every new vB version if compatible before test by themself.

I tried to help with some suggestions because those addons you mentioned are performance-killer. Iam out thanks.

I'm not saying that I get a fee for a product author from a private message to anyone.

Someone offers an idea in the help section, and I publish a product according to that idea.

Sometimes I adapt it to the current version as in this topic.

I do not extort wages from anyone, anyone can donate.

I spent a lot of time at home during this pandemic period, I want to do what I love.

If you noticed, they don't have hundreds of coders anymore, I think it's only because they undermine their enthusiasm.

Dj I totally can understand where you are coming from if those users were active, but they aren't. I can understand not wanting to feed lazy people as well, but imagine being someone new to vb5 and starting out and then looking around and thinking that the community is dead and immediately start to regret your purchase.

I know you have helped me before, and you got me on my way but its still a extreme drag to trudge through it by myself. yilmaz reposting mods from older plugins, even if he makes mistakes is like a ray of light to me right now because even those help me learn. Unless he's breaking any rules on the forum I am going to help, not by just telling him that it's broken but I will help him look for why the bugs are occuring so we can revive the good name of vbulletin modifications.

This is the only person making mods on here. Everyone else has left and gone to xenforo. Are you trying to run him out of vbulletin too? Lol.. Give us a break.

More than that I've paid good money for branded free versions to people like Glenn who have now gone awol and left myself and others with broken products.

I change the images of core/packages/yilmazpostbitbgug/images to be horizontal to make them compatibal to this mod. It does work for browser Microsoft Edge, but not for Chrome, I lost the effect from yilmazpostbitbgug when I use browser Google Chrome.

Looking forward to giving this mod ago!

Thanks Yilmaz for making the mod community active again. I've learnt a lot from you and it encourages me to remain with VBulletin.

The problem is fixed if you manually import the product_yilmazpostbitbgug.xml file for the Yilmaz - Postbit Background Usergroups product.

We like the idea of this enhancement. When we were forced to upgrade from VB3 to VB5 when our provider forced us because of a PHP change, out users have been unhappy with this and a few other changes.

Our installation has some configuration changes, and might even have some left over customization from it's originator, so what should I look at/consider before implementing this enhancement?

Also if it doesn't go well, is it an easy removal of the code?

I tried to reinstall and update again. I also used another browser. but the result does not change. The layout is distorted. you can check?

Installed under 5.6.4 PL1 - PHP 7.4.15 with a different layout than the one vBulletin installed by default. Tested as guest on a new fresh install with the admin usergroup only.

Work fine on FireFox, Edge and Chrome.

However, I had to install the Postbit Background product in a first step and installed this product, the Postbit Horizontal product in a second step. The two products work fine without distortion on 5.6.4 PL1.

Yilmaz, if you read me, do you accept custom work on this product, paid of course?

Works perfectly under vB5 5.6.4 PL1 & PHP 7.4.19 without PHP error in the logs and is fully responsive on any devices.
