Nice, but would it be hard to cater for more than three different usergroups? Say, 10-15?

You must choose the color and background picture by yourself |

I downloaded this mod and I followed your instructions and put I l upload the upload_to _root directly in the root.
Or you sure it don't go into public_html instead? Because it's not showing up. |

that's all it. As in screenshot https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1606290703 |
I commissioned a similar hack for popoverdose on vb3 years ago, nice work yilmaz.

Hello Yilmaz,
I try this mod on VB5 ver 5.6.2 but it's not showing up. Don't work with this version of VB5? Thanks!! |

It has been tested. All you have to do is upload the "core" folder on your computer to the "core" folder in ftp. After uploading, visit a thread as adminmaster. You will see that it is set up automatically. |
Thanks Yilmaz! Now work fine! But I had made another mistake. But now I've fixed everything and it works!
Thanks! |
This comes in real handy, Yilmaz! This gives my users a visual distinction as to what usergroup they are in. Thanks very much!

Awesome mod, you personally made this forum alive again!
|
If you post post of poll or albumn, this mod won't work.

Delete the installation, download the zip file from the first post and install it again. |

This looks great, however, it does not work for me. I had the old version, which worked, but was too limited with only three usergroups. I didn't see your new version before today, and installed it. It shows up OK in adminCP and I can choose usergroups for the colours, but nothing shows up in my forum.
I have the same problem with Visitors in last X hours, which I also uninstalled and then reinstalled now. I suspect something went wrong when uninstalling or reinstalling, but I can't figure out what. When I uninstalled the first version, I deleted the directories from /packages as well as uninstalled the mods from AdminCP->Manage Products. No joy. |

5.6.4.
But actually, it might be something else. I tried your Thread Author vB5 (imported directly from my PC from Add/Install Product). This didn't work either, and I haven't tried it earlier. It shows up in AdminCP, just not in the forum. Strange, but I'm sure there's an explanation for it. |
It seem I'm a bit stuck. Has anyone else had a problem with the mods seemingly OK in AdminCP, but with nothing showing in the forum?
|
The Topic Starter feature of yours had to be installed manually with your help. Do you think this problem may be similar?
|
Oddly enough, your site's system doesn't recognize the hooks.
I have to try it myself first, if it can be manual, I'll post here. |
It works now. It was related to what I wrote in another post, I had the forum set to cache the templates as files rather than relying on the database. However, somehow one of the templates didn't write correctly to the file system so every time the software tried to call it, it couldn't find it. By turning off that option, that missing file isn't called.
However, it doesn't work perfectly. I tried removing the links to the PNGs in order to just have red, green or blue backgrounds, but that didn't work. I'm supposed to use one of the 15 PNGs? Maybe I just misunderstood something, because I tried to let administrators, supermoderators and moderators all use the same background image, core/packages/yilmazpostbitbgug/images/14.png. I thought they would look the same, but they're slightly different. Does it in some way combine the background colours with the images? And lastly, some usergroups get white text and some get black. Black is rather hard to see on a dark image background, but can I change it? All text colours are set to white in your option menu. Thank you. |

Fixed background color If you leave the background image url input blank, the background color will be activated. How to update: ======================================== -Import XML file (as product) through AdminCP: Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product] OR import the XML file from your server Code:
./core/packages/yilmazpostbitbgug/xml/product_yilmazpostbitbgug.xml |
Thank, @yilmaz! Works nicely.
|
thakssss dearrr it work done
|
I had the same problem, but I did what's explained in post #27, and now it's fine.
However, one strange thing that maybe Yilmaz knows the answer to: I would really like to have quite dark background colours, since I think that looks best, but there's a problem: - Most usergroups, including Moderator, have the user titles in white, which is good and shows nicely on a dark background. - Two of my usergroups, one is Super Moderator, have a problem. When using a dark skin, they have the titles in a light grey colour. It's not as good as white, but it works. But when using a light skin, these titles are in black, and that doesn't look good. The problem is that I cannot find any option to set title colours per usergroup, or at all, for that matter. What to do? |
