What is this mod all about?
We all know that one of the problems in managing a board is users creating multiple accounts. Banned users that return using a VPN or whatever. This plugin will detect multiple accounts used by the same user and create a report thread in a forum of your choice.

You can modify basically everything, but we'll continue to expand this plugin with a lot more detection options to track users!


Free version includes:
- Detecting multiple users based on a cookie
- Up to a history of 3 users (reports the last three users in a report thread)
- You can fully manage the location, thread starter, title & content of report threads

PRO version includes:
- Detecting multiple users based on a cookie
- Detecting multiple users based on the IP address (including support for load balanced setups and Cloudflare proxy)
- Unlimited history of user accounts, the full history of logins will be reported in the report thread
- You can fully manage the location, thread starter, title & content of report threads
- Exclude users from being reported
- Exclude user groups from being reported
- Admin panel module added, with options and an overview page of IP addresses having multiple users.

How to install:

- Download the zip file below

- Upload the content of the zip to: core/packages (this will result in a the path /core/packages/duckwaysmultipleaccount

- Go to settings and save the Duckways: Multiple Account Detector settings (Even when you don't wish to change anything! This is a vBulletin bug where you have to at least save the settings once!)

We also had it on all of our vBulletin 4 installs, living without one was a hell. A whole lot of scammers made their return to the sales section on our board without anyone knowing... It's a great tool to detect the return of banned members!

How do I achieve this in the Pro Version? I can't seem to find a button for it.

It's automatically available :) As soon as someone has been logging in over 2-3-4 accounts whey will all get reported in a thread. Oh, and thanks for your support by buying the PRO version! We'll continue to develop some very nice vBulletin plugins, so keep an eye on this section.

I would rather have the duplicate accounts all reported in the same thread (new post in the thread) than creating a new thread each time, which would probably end-up spamming my private section.
Is there a,y way to make it work this way ?

We will need to rewrite that part or add it as an option. In the meantime: Create a sub-channel within your private channel with a name like "Multiple accounts", we have it set up like that :)

Working on 5.4.3. :)

Logging into my test account triggers this. Unless I'm missing something it needs a usergroup exemption option. It is noted that it'd doesn't post duplicate reports of the same 2 connected usernames so that's good.

I pmed the dev the other day and he said it should work. only just set up a v b 5.5.5 test forum so cant confirm but will be getting this mod

I checked iplog table and it registers multiple accounts but they are not reported to a given forum.
