Problem after update
Hello , I have a problem with my vbulletin platform. After the update to 4.2.5 vbulletin CMS disappeared, can you help me?
|
Did you download the right vBulletin installation files when you updated it to 4.2.5? (Publishing Suite)
|
Sure ,From here vbulletin.com
|
Does the CMS plugin display in the plugin list in the AdminCP?
|
no , just disapperead
|
In the AdminCP there is no CMS option on the side? Did you disable it anywhere else?
|
Did you accidentally over write you index.php file in your public_html/root folder & mix it up with what the forum home is set to?
|
Are you entirely sure that you downloaded the CMS suite vBulletin version and not "Download vBulletin 4 Forum Only"? That's the only thing I can think of as to why your CMS is missing.
|
Philip , Vbulletin cms doesn't appear anyware in admincp.
snakes1100, i think yes . I just drop the upgrade folder from vbulletin.com in to public_html ... |
Verify that you uploaded the files correctly & that the index.php & what ever you set the forum file name match etc
|
Can not install vbulletin CMS somehow?
|
Re-upload all vb4 suite files.
Re-run upgrade script. |
pff , i can t do that . Thank u for support , close post ..

Answer was given to you in post #12 in this thread.
Read the 2nd word in the 2nd line of above post before you disregard it. It says upgrade not install. PS. make backups before doing any major work on your site. |
First off, take a backup if you haven't already.
2nd, reupload the files and run the UPGRADE again as mentioned. |
i will try , but how can upgrade is just folder install ..
|
Use this url format ...
Code:
www.yourwebsite.com/install/upgrade.php |
I do this, still does not appear vbulletin cms..
|
When you visit the url below does it display any error? Change yourwebsite to proper url!
www.yourwebsite.com/content.php |
Not Found
The requested URL /content.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. |
That tells us that you are not uploading vbulletin publishing suite files
or you are uploading them in the wrong location or you never had vbulletin publishing suite. |
