can not login admincp vbulletin 5.3.3 is a instalation new

i try

Go into the do_not_upload folder in the zip file. Upload the tools.php file to the install directory on your server. Run the tools.php file in your browser and select the options to reset the cookie domain and cookie path. Then run the option to reset admin access for your user. That should fix this.

likely your cookies..

have you done everything here

https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...76#post3449176 (although that's for vb"4", I'd think it would apply to vb5)

tried other browsers?

gsmuit 10-19-2017 11:43 AM

yes i did do but the strange thing is that it is hostin new installation sometimes I can enter as user but expel me when browsing the forum

Since it's vb5, after running tools.php and resetting your cookie path and cookie domain, you must log into the regular site FIRST before logging into the AdminCP. Make sure you log into the site after performing the reset with tools.php.

I have already done it but it does not work to what I wrote mention what I already tried

Do you have ticket support at vbulletin.com?
Might want to have them take a look or if you catch me online I can see also.
I'm sure it's a small setting, usually symptoms like that are from incorrect cookies.

gsmuit 10-21-2017 04:20 PM

vbulletin does not respond and created ticket but does not respond and tried everything they say before and solves nothing

I am not very familiar with Vb5 but on Vb4 I would suggest going into phpadmin and manually checking your urls.

If tools.php didn't work I would try another browser because your problem may be cached. You can also change the cookie prefix.

Did you change anything with htaccess or file permissions?

What is the Site URL defined in your settings? Does it use http or https? Does it have www or not? You should use the exact same base URL the site is configured to. In your video, it is using http and www. Maybe the correct url uses https and/or with/without www or http and no www.

RichieBoy67 10-23-2017 09:47 AM

Yes, like the above post said, check your urls. Go into phpadmin and manually check those settings...

I would also check your file permissions for the admincp directory.

How do I configure or review this?

RichieBoy67 10-23-2017 03:21 PM

Check your config files.

Check the cookie prefixes in your /config.php and /core/includes/config.php. Those should be exactly the same..

If they are you will need to check your url settings in your database seeing as you cannot access the admin panel and tools.php did not work for you.
