Change a color on the forumhome
Hello,
I recently installed a new theme on my forum but I would like to change a color (red instead of orange), which is these two orange bars here : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2016/01/9.png and here : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2016/01/10.png I've tried to contact the original developer but his site died.. I know i have to go into Style manager option but I don't know where :/ Thanks for helping me guys. |

Thanks for your reply however I get this when going on both styevars (I guess it's not the right color) :

It appears to me that the background color is being accomplished using a horizontally repeated image. If you remove the image information (save it somewhere in case you want it back), and then input the color you want in the top field.

Thanks however even though i remove that background image (which was actually an image containing nothing), the color doesn't change :'(
I also tried with another picture, but it only changes the color in the "Click here to preview" field in the stylevar panel. Even with nothing in each field anything changes too :( |
Are you modifying the value for the correct style?
|
Yes, I've removed the default vbulletin style so i'm sure that i modify the right custom style.
|
I'd guess the style designer didn't follow standard style creation practices of using stylevars. You should start looking at the actual templates to see if you can find how that colour was added.

I've tried to locate it, even in the template xml file but no ways.
Here's the theme uploaded : *Removed* If someone finds it I can pay you to get the solution please. |
Since it's someone else style you shouldn't upload like that and post a public link, then everyone can download it and the author may not wish that. I'd upload to your server in the root folder or whomever assist can login and modify the style directly via admincp and/or download. Is this a style that also came coupled with a plugin? IF so the color settings may be in the plugin itself, I've seen styles like that before.
Also can't speak about paying someone in this forum however you can post this in the paid request forum. |
OK thanks for infos.
