Really? Stratis is not bidding on a paying gig, he is simply trying to help you out. A more appropriate response would be something along the lines of "Thank you, but that's not quite what I'm after" and then explain why. When others here who provide help see you getting your knickers in a twist because someone didn't provide you with exactly what you want, they will be less inclined to make any effort to help you.

The price you paid for your forum software did not include the support you may receive here...it is given freely and on a voluntary basis (except in the case where you post in the "Requests for Paid Services" forum).

No one is asking you for money here...we are just pointing out that your demeanor was a bit rude, or at the very least off-putting, to someone who was only trying to help you. And when called out on it, you tried to defend your actions rather than rectify them.

Yeah, you are asking for code, which is not included in the price you paid for the software. So someone is obligated to provide it to you for free? Sure someone might do it for nothing, but some patience and respect is needed for someone to give you something for nothing. :)
