Report Thread Prefix Management

1 Attachment(s)
Overview:

This product allows you and your moderating staff to more easily distinguish between report threads (including those generated by my Profile Reporter) that have not yet been resolved from those that have been taken care of by using colored prefixes for the threads.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1434044564

Upon installation, a new prefixset is created consisting of two thread prefixes...one for unresolved report threads (bright red) and one for resolved report threads (darker green with strikeout text). These prefixes will only be available in the forum you have designated for report threads, and in the forum you have designated for auto-reported posts if you have "MarkFL: Automated Post Reporter" installed and active. If you uninstall the product, then the prefixset is removed from your database.

When a post is initially reported, the unresolved prefix is auto-added to the report thread. Then when someone on your staff (those with access to the report threads and with moderating privileges) posts to say what they have done to resolve the issue, they will find a checkbox in the "Moderation Tools" portion of the "Additional Options" block on the posting form for actions to be taken after submitting their message that will allow them to mark the report as resolved.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1434044564

If a report thread has been previously marked as resolved, but another staff member is posting to add additional information and wishes to revert the thread back to an unresolved status, they will find that the added checkbox will mark the thread as unresolved.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1434044943

In addition, an item has been added to the "Thread Tools" menu to allow your staff to change the status of reports without having to post.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1454816159

You have the option to record the actions taken by this product in the moderator log. You can choose to record all actions, or just when the prefix is changed without posting, or not at all.

Where are you expecting to see these settings?

:D

MarkFL 06-12-2015 03:52 PM

Oh...I use my local dev site (in debug mode) for screen shots, so unless you have your site in debug mode, you won't see those links. :D

Did you upload the external .PHP file? How do you have the product configured?

iiioroh 08-19-2015 11:31 AM

The file is uploaded - http://primspinning.ru/reportprefix.php
Authorized the administrator and moderators of work in this forum

MarkFL 08-19-2015 12:06 PM

It's not going to work retro-actively, i.e. with old reports, it will work only for those reports made after the product is installed.

iiioroh 08-19-2015 12:19 PM

Created a new topic. It is also not working. - http://primspinning.ru/showthread.php?t=492

MarkFL 08-19-2015 12:34 PM

Did you use the post reporting system or did you simply post a new thread? Do you have the product enabled?

iiioroh 08-19-2015 12:47 PM

Product enabled - http://take.ms/BwWvl
I use the post reporting system - http://primspinning.ru/showthread.php?t=494

MarkFL 08-19-2015 12:57 PM

Have you tried seeing if it works using the default style?

iiioroh 08-19-2015 01:01 PM

No works in default style

MarkFL 08-19-2015 01:07 PM

Just to be clear, I mean the unaltered style that comes with vBulletin right out of the box.

I would need to investigate your site with an admin account because I have no idea what kinds of things you have going on there. If you want, send me the credentials for a temporary admin account via PM so I can see what's what. :)

iiioroh 08-19-2015 01:15 PM

Has sent P.M.

I apologize, but the language barrier is just too much for me...I can't make heads or tails of the AdminCP. :(

iiioroh 08-19-2015 02:00 PM

I have included English language - http://take.ms/gppJU

The plugin hooked to "showthread_complete" isn't even running for some reason. I suspect one of your other installed products is interfering.

MarkFL 09-06-2015 12:14 AM

Update: version 1.2.7
  • Space removed from MySQL query which causes an error for some.

Iris_Ford 10-15-2015 06:29 AM

Did you report a post after the product was installed?

yes

MarkFL 10-16-2015 01:48 PM

Okay, did you enable the product in the settings?

edit: nevermind, I see you did. And none of the other things appear, the buttons and checkboxes?

BrettC Frontier 02-01-2016 01:04 PM

I had a look through the code to figure out what is going on here, but came short on it.

So, without further adue, a bug report! :D If a global moderator, or administrator reports a post, the thread prefix application of 'not resolved' will not apply or activate. In the reported thread, on our forums - it will not even show the mark as resolved button. However, if a normal user reports the post - the thread prefix will activate like it normally would. This is only applicable to newly generated reports, not preexisting reported threads.

The only thing hooking to report_do_report is this addon. We have nothing else utilizing this hook.

MarkFL 02-01-2016 04:10 PM

I would have to come to your site and take a look...it works flawlessly on all my sites, no matter who reports a post. So if you want, send me by PM the credential for a temporary admin account.

MarkFL I wish only administrators and moderators saw the options as I do?

You have people that can view reported posts, but whom you wish not to be able to resolve them?

Manoel J?nior 02-02-2016 08:45 PM

Sorry for my bad English.

What I wish is that only moderators or administrators can edit the prefixes, users can only view.

MarkFL 02-02-2016 10:06 PM

This product is designed to give your staff a convenient means seeing the status of reported post threads and marking them as resolved when the issue reported is taken care of. So, the only users who should see the prefixes are those who can see the reported post threads, which I would think would be your staff.

Is this what you're looking to do: http://i.imgur.com/2HMPvu9.png
If so, then you go to AdminCP -> Forums & Moderators -> Thread Prefixes -> [Select Prefix] Edit Permissions -> Tick/Untick usergroups accordingly.

If you mean something else, please provide screenshots of what you want.

Installed on vb 4.13PL8 ...

Uploaded file and activated mod, but nothing ever appears anywhere when a test reporting of a thread was tried... it's as if mod isn't even installed...

Uninstalled mod, with thanks for your efforts ...

Regards,
Doug

As with the other product, I would have to come take a look at what's going on.

On another note, have you considered updating your site to vB 4.2.3? You will likely have better luck with many products that have been uploaded within the last several years. :)
