Whatsapp Group for Vbulletin Forum Owners/Lovers..
 

This shall not be a beginner level thing.. but bit more.

You know about your software.. you can install/upgrade forums, migrate yourself, can manage your server.
You can install/upgrade/remove modifications from your forum..

Lets try creating a whatsapp group and see if it works.
Interested people PM me your numbers.. I will suggest not posting here.

If this thread is against TOS kindly remove..Its not for advertisement purpose.
Will appreciate if any moderator/administrators can join this group for quick help etc.

You seem to be assuming people actually have (or can use) Whatsapp.

Well, he did say it's wasn't for beginners.... :) (I have no idea what whatsapp is and I'm fine with that. Sometimes ignorance can be bliss.)

Its an apple app, so you need an iPad or iPhone.

Its not an apple app... Works on all latest mobile software.. ios, android, windows, etc.

Thats new then, last time I looked it wasnt available for PC or Android.

It refused to install on my tablet, had to download the ppk file, still says tablets are not supported.

Then the phone number verification was quite tricky, but I finally (I think) got it installed, not tried the PC version which apparently was released at the end of January.

If your tablet has voice calling enabled it should work with apk, if not you can still make it work (a little more tech stuff). "How To Install Whatsapp On Android Tablets Without SIM Card Support" query on google will give you tons of options.

Whatsapp is not available for PC.. whatsapp web client is simply an extension of your phone: the web browser mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device -- this means all of your messages still live on your phone.

you should try a more secure messenger, which works on tablet devices and desktop too.

WhatsApp is pretty secure with its end-2-end encryption though. :p

IN Whatsapp everyone can know your phone number.

If so, I am very experienced with vB, servers, networks, server operating systems, etc...

I actually built my own custom dedicated servers from the ground up, which is running all of my websites and services right now. I wouldn't call it a small server farm, but I have 11 dedicated servers online right now, with about 97% uptime.

On top of that, I run a free Git Service like GitHub, for anyone that wants to develop thier projects and store thier code somewhere that is very secure, ad free, and more features then a free GitHub account. My Git Service allows for private projects, and like I said, everything is completely free.

As for this WhatsApp, I would be happy to join. What do I need to give you? And I'm on Android and PC by the way, I don't know if that matters or not. I never liked Apple products, they never have enough features or options for me. They always locked down thier software so you can't do much on them unless you jailbreak them.

Whats app is just a messenger, it became popular because their claim of security. Well fast forward to now and it's been compromised a few times.
