Has anybody done this yet? Is it posible? I think neomail is a cgi script.

I would love to see a hack for this, so when someone signs up for my vbullettin they get an e-mail acount and maybe on the first page it could tell when they have a new e-mail. Also when they log in to the board they can check their mail without loging in again?

yeah would be nice but what of usernames with characters like ~ ! ' ^ * etc in the username@domain.com ?

eva - thats a easy problem to get around, all you do is make it so when they register, they can't use symbols;)

what about existing users ?

hmm... to tell you the truth i am not to sure... only thing i can think of is to ask all your users to take those out of their name

We have some of this working.

I am starting my board over again so existing users arent a problem for me.

go to my forum im my signature, I have a login script there in the email forum if you guys would like to use found it on another board.

I tried it Here and it seems to work, also on my forum I have it setup that when someone signs up for an email it automaically creates their email address in the control panel.

Yes I could do a form mail and then create it, but it would be much easier to just have the form do it for you :)
