Broken image for multi-quote. Plz help.
Hey all,
I have an issue with the multi-quote button, it is showing up as broken. The file is present, so I'm not sure why it is doing this. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/7.png It's attached to the image "multiquote_40b.png". Thanks in advance! And please walk me through fixing it step by step as I am a VB 4 newb. (working with 4.2.2 btw) |
Do you have a link to your forum and a test account so we can see it in the live environment?

The image is there, it is just the text overlaying it. So add this to your additional.css
Code:
.postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a img, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a img { |
Thanks ozzy!
That moved over the broken image, but it is still there. It now looks like this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/4.png |
Somewhere in one of your templates (headinclude template is my guess), you have the following:
PHP Code:

Thanks Dave!
I did a search in templates and the only thing that came up was in headinclude: var IMGDIR_BUTTON = "{vb:stylevar imgdir_button}"; I erased it, but the broken image was still there so I put it back. |
Then my guess is that one of your plugins is doing it, that piece of script is not present in the default vBulletin style.
|
Hmmm I disabled and deleted all of my plugins before upgrade. Only thing I have active now is vbshout and seperate sticky threads I believe. I will check.

What browser is this in, cause in FF it did not look like that.
|
I use chrome. Didn't think about looking in other browsers. You guys gave me a "duh" moment though.
What I did was just take the two images that are causing the broken image, and moved them to the root public html directory where it seems to be pointing to for some reason. That fixed it. I don't understand why it would be pointing to http://www.barkinghard.com/multiquote_40b.png , when it seems it should be pointing to http://www.barkinghard.com/forums/im...iquote_40b.png ?? But whatever seems to be working now. Any reason I shouldn't leave it as is? Thanks so much, you guys are saints. |
It points to that location because
PHP Code:
|
Dave. I looked at my plugins. There was one I couldn't delete, the VbExperience plugin, but it is disabled.
I think the rest of the came default with VB 4? Forumrunner, Panjo, Postrelease, Skimlinks, bbcode_table, VbCode Table, Vbulletin Blog, Vbulletin CMS. (I am looking at this under Installed Products) |
If you search for "var IMGDIR_BUTTON", it only points you to the headinclude template and it only appears one time in that template?
