DragonByte Raffles is a powerful solution for hosting prize draws on your forum. With features like multi-currency support for easy integration into points mods like vBCredits II Deluxe, you can offer new ways of earning different points for your forum.

You are able to ask for entry fees and give payouts in different currencies, which can be used to award credits you otherwise don't allow people to attain, that you allow them to exchange for big prizes! You can also choose not to offer any payout, so you can host "just for fun" raffles!

Scheduled tasks automatically draw your chosen raffles at the chosen time, and winners are automatically notified. You can also post an announcement thread in a forum of your choice, to really highlight the winners.

Major Features

Automatically Drawn Raffles: Scheduled tasks automatically draw your raffles when their Draw Date is up.

Multiple Currency Support: You are able to integrate with other points mods like vBCredits by adding their currencies to this mod. You can also charge users the entry cost to the raffle in one currency, and give them prizes in other currencies.

Performance Oriented: Using modern coding techniques, the modification uses less resources than previous DBTech mods by only loading its data when it's explicitly needed.

I've filled in all fields but get this when trying to add currency:

A required field called pointstable is missing or has an invalid value.

Make sure you're not including the table prefix in the points table config field.

Exactly what I was going to say, that small adjustment will do wonders imo for this mod. Great idea however!

It'd be best if you post suggestions on their site, as this mod is still in phase of adding features, so it's very likely that your suggestions would be accepted. But, their site is the best place for suggesting features as they have special mod for tracking things up.

I installed it but I couldn't figure it out how to make it work, so I had to uninstall it , but now I'm getting database errors because I have to delete every single file manually.. :(

It's super complicated to make a raffle, I even set the user group permissions and everything..

I hope you can explain how the mod works ...

Hi, when I go to the raffle page I don't see the enter raffle option below the Your Entries: 0 message

For the profit sharing, if I enter "0" for the base amount, does that mean all credits used to buy tickets are considered part of the 60% profit sharing?

I'm trying a setup that awards 60%, 30%, and 10% to the top 3 winners.

i have the same problem! i dont know how to use this mod, where is " ENTER RAFLE?

You need to configure the usergroup permissions for this mod before they can enter raffles.

Ok I have the one issue fixed, now I am having another issue. When the raffle draws I get a message saying "Could not find phrase "dbtech_raffle_drawn".

I have uninstalled the xml file and reinstalled it many times and there is nothing there. I went into the Search Phrases and searched for that phrase it isn't showing at all. Plus it is not sending pm's or posting in specified forums as selected in the settings which I am taking the reasons for that is because of the missing phrase.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

This mod refers to handling currencies, but never defines what that means, other then referring to "points" .... :confused:

Does that mean that a user is able to utilize his PayPal account to buy tickets for a raffle?
