I've worked on a vBulletin 2.x once, 3.x well tons lol but not a 1.x yet must be due to the outdated'ness respectfully.

ozzy47 01-10-2015 02:25 AM

Talk about old, lol. :)

Actually I've worked with vBulletin software for around 14 years. I started out using it on my hobby site I had at the time and that developed into doing it professionally eventually around 8 years ago :)

Also remember, as a user can have multiple accounts, over the years, join days means nothing. A user could have been around since 2002, but the account they are using, is from last year. :)

Yep, join date means nothing. Trust me on that.

Paul M 01-10-2015 03:39 PM

Not everyones join date is inaccurate :)

TheAdminMarket 01-10-2015 04:17 PM

Still have in my HD the version 2 :)

ozzy47 01-10-2015 07:57 PM

Well there is some sites still running vB2, like this one for example, http://forums.somethingawful.com/

CarpCharacin 01-10-2015 08:35 PM

something awful is one of the largest vbulletin forums. I have no idea why they are still running vbulletin 2. It seems like they would want something better if their forum is that big.

ozzy47 01-10-2015 08:36 PM

Because it works for them. And they maintain it all on their end. :)

Its not really running vBulletin 2, so much so that it is based on it. Checkout the changelog. Its had a pretty massive overhaul.

ozzy47 01-10-2015 08:40 PM

Yeah but the core is still vB 2, and I assume you mean this, http://forums.somethingawful.com/CHANGES
